Thanks for this - I know this is not really the place to ask but thinking someone may know ... do you think something like this or an electric knife with a guide would be better at slicing homemade bread? TIA x
I've had a few of electric knives over the years, came in one day and found my OH trying to cut a piece of wood with it, never used one since LOL. The slicer does a better job. You can adjust the thickness.1st Purse £114.19 Monthly GB:rotfl::j:wave::j:rotfl:

Wow! Just been to collect the £24.99 Slicer, "Its been substituted for another model", said the sales assistant, I told her I wanted to see it before I paid for it.
I actually burst out laughing when I saw it, it was a fold up one, worth no more than £10 UTTER RUBBISH! I said I'd just leave it.
She then said "Oh! just a minute there's another one there with the same number on it", Off she went and came back with a box three times the size.
A BEAUTY, "I'll have this one thank you!" I said.
Buyer BEWARE, make sure you get the model you are paying for, and NOT a wee cheap SUBSTITUTE!1st Purse £114.19 Monthly GB:rotfl::j:wave::j:rotfl:

Good point Mothership, glad you got what you paid for. But on a very seperate note, everyone is on a different budget, and the blade size and wattage are the same on both models.
Looks like the stainless one will be back up to full price today, but the cheapo one still on!Healthy eating aim per day: 3 fruits, 3 or more vegetables, 3 low-fat dairy portions, 3 starch portions, 2-3 lean protein portions.
Weekly aim: to include 2 portions of fish (one oily), some nuts, seeds, beans and pulses.0 -
