Soda Crystals

My question is; I recently got myself a house rabbit and I've noticed that my kitchen is developing a rabbity smell - he has a house with a plastic bottom (like an oversized hamster cage) and in the corners where he does his business there are yellowish stains which I think may be harbouring some scent. People have suggested to use bleach but I worry about the effects it may have on my little critter. Does anyone have any experience or know if soda crystals are safe to use around animals?
Thanks everyone x
I think baking soda (or bicarbonate of soda) is the thing to use, not soda crystals. Apparently you can sprinkle baking soda into a cat litter tray to absorb the smells - and not much smells stronger than cat pee!
I would be inclined to make a paste of the soda and a little water, wash everything down and then when it's dry, sprinkle a little dry powder into his toilet area.
Hope it worksI let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

Have been trying to find out the best way to unblock a drain, had heard that soda crystals can work and while I was looking into it found a site called The Green Store online - It's got loads of uses! Glad I have got some in my cupboard.....don't know why it's there - until today I didn't know what it could be used for!0

Forget expensive water softeners for washing machine, I add a good glug of soda crystals and my 14 year old machine is going strong. I am a massage therapist and wash oily towels most days so this really is impressive.0
