Just finished assembling the first hamper! Going to the CM in the morning.

I am NOT a crafty person whatsoever, so am quite pleased with myself. Bought 2 rolls of cellophane off eBay and a spool of 3 types of ribbon from the store and that's about as far as my creativity went here. The card tied to the side is a contents list.

Contents: 1 jar onion marmalade, 1 jar apple chutney, 1 jar apple spread, almond biscotti, chocolate chip biscotti, vanilla fudge & 9 of Caz's lovely chocolate truffles.

  • Aless that looks fab. I will have to try harder next year - we couldn't get the labels off the jars properly, so everyone has scummy jars with my nicely printed labels just stuck over the top of the old jam labels. Next year I will buy celophane and nice christmas fabric, and be a bit more organised!

  • That is gorgeous Aless. I love the actual hamper too. I bet the CM will be over the moon.

I'm sure I've mentioned it before but I ordered this for the jars to use for my chutneys/jams etc. The sauce tastes like Fairy liquid so had to go down the sink, but the jars are fab and the labels come off cleanly. Obviously only worth paying postage if you're ordering other bits, but a bit of a bargain :money:.

    Morning Aless

I'm here, just trying to get ready. I've obviously eaten something I shouldn't as I've got terrible belly ache and now we've got to rush as Daniel has to go to the CMs today instead of MILs as apparently she's poorly? Hmm think I'll have to bite my tongue on this one!

Ooh you've made me realise I'm only working 3 days this week, yipee :D

    Well I'm here :hello:

We've got more snow! most years it doesn't snow here at all much less twice for several days each time before Christmas  If we get it it's usually for one day in February!

That hamper looks nice :) OH got chilli and lime fishcakes from tesco and I thought they tasted of Flash :o

We're so broke I don't even have the bus fare/diesel money to get to my hosptal appointment later so think I'm going to have to walk. OH is coming home from work early to stay with the monsters cos it's a bit far for them. I better not get there and have the gastro docor say he doesn't know why I'm there again :rotfl:

Squeak is doing more giggles :D and rolling on to her side :D

Awww GISI poor Henry! Hope he cheered up in time to enjoy some of the party and attention?

SS, declare tomorrow a treating-SS day, and do something to make it special!

Very pleased still with how good E is being with baby sister... tonight for example, he

    * rushed to the other room to get her blanket when she started crying

    * saw her in her bouncer across the room... watched her for a bit giving her a big smile, then waved. I said "She's too little to see very well, she probably can't see you" so he took 5 steps nearer then did it again :p

    * came in when she was on my knees being burped - stared into her face from a few inches away for a second, then patted her shoulder and said "FANK you, baby Callie." and went and sat down.

    Etc!

Very cute! Its lvoely to see them getting on well. I bet Callie will do all her 'firsts' for her Big Brother ;)

Well - the snow is still here and I've just seen the forecast  I think we'll be bringing our travel plans forward a couple of days.

Got some friends hiking over to see us later on - thye are bringing milk (thank goodness!). DH was needed at work today so has gone into the office, but not all the buses are running with us so had to walk. I think it mgiht serve him right as he is *meant* to be on holiday. Oh well! At least I can gossip about him while he's out ;)

LO loves her kitchen from santa. its so pretty and looks fab in our kitchen so we can 'cook' together. Although I htink she's too smart for her own good sometimes. She keeps turning on the taps and cooker and when nothing happens says 'oh no mummy! its not working!' and throwing her hands up in the air. I keep telling her that we are 'pretending' but she insists on then using the real thing :rotfl: How can a 22month old be that unimpressed with her toy? :D:p:rotfl:
