I started enforcing it at about 2. If she's messing about not eating and I'm getting wound up she has to go and sit on the stairs whilst we both calm down.

If she continues then there's no dessert, only water to drink and an early bed.

Tonight she would like to wait up for DH to come home from work, so that has been used as a consequence, she knows I carry them out too so has eaten her tea.

We've had the Old El Paso Extra Mild Fajita kit, it's very nice. Katie has enjoyed spreading lots of sour cream over her tortilla.

In the last few weeks we've introduced the 'you need to have x number of spoonsfuls' rule. Anywhere between 1 and 3. She couldn't deal with bigger numbers than that. In tandem we also have a no pudding rule if don't make a decent attempt at main meal/messing around etc. LO is 22 months now and definitly understands and 'gets it'. I've actually found that it helps me keep calm about things as there is a firm structure for me to follow rather than just constant coaxing etc. :D

I've just spent the last 2 hours building LOs christmas present - a wooden kitchen. Its beautiful! I love it. It can't travel with us to where we will be for Christmas so she is getting it tomorrow :D I'm really excited about seeing her face in the morning. She's so excited about all things christmassy It is so lovely to watch. I love her sooo much. :A

I'm exhausted after a long day which had some interupted plans - damn weather. so off to bed with a hot water bottle and a good book. NIght all x
