Becles, a whole weekend with no calls? I hope you find ten minutes (or an hour, or two) for yourself in there xxx
Doubtful. I've got masses of typing and paperwork to catch up on, and a load of online work to do!
Mega stressful day yesterday. Shop car parks were full and I struggled finding spaces, traffic jams all over the place and too many rude people pushing and shoving me in shops. One man rammed his trolley into my legs because I was in his way (didn't know he wanted to be past me as I don't have eyes in the back of my head!), another lady was yelling at me because Tesco didn't have any sandwiches even though I kept saying I was a visitor and didn't work for Tesco, and a really rude manager in Asda had a go at me because I delivered the stand late so she refused to let me put it up. I got it late as the courier delivery was late due to the weather, but she said that was no excuse?!
Woke up loaded with cold and a banging headache this morning. Got so many jobs that need doing and I really just want to go back to bedHere I go again on my own....0 -
Hope Mrs B is feeling ok this morning Bruno and well done E for sleeping so well. I now expect to hear that little C now sleeps all day! Hope you get some rest Bruno remember to look after you as well as the rest of the family.
Glad you sorted one dilemma Mel.x
Miss Glam posting also.x
Just paid out an obscene amount of money to fix the car only for it to not start last night, no click on turning key nothing. OH reaction was to hyperventilate and wonder how to get to work, while little me calmly pointed out we have advantage gold and so Green Flag, "bet they don't do home start" rants OH, me calmly points to computer screen showing words "home start", They come out and fix the car, no cost and I collect MASSIVE brownie points for having Advantage gold and staying calm in a crisis. Spend all evening taking mick out of husband !( Did not admit had thought of cancelling Advantage Gold last week to save some pennies)
Have a good day all.xxDS1 12/10/04

I think the pre-Christmas mayhem takes it's toll on everyone in retailthere are loads of snappy customers as well as staff in Tesco too, including a lady f-ing and blinding at someone in the (packed) car park last Sunday in earshot of my kids  not making that mistake again this weekend
I can't imagine how stressed you must be, I hope your cold goes away soon.
We might actually get the decs up today now we've stopped being ill :rotfl:DD1 hasn't had it yet, hopefully she won't.
I'm actually looking forward to Christmas this year, for the first time in a long time
I hope everyone else who is poorly feels better soon.Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Big hugs Becles, some people are unbelievable
We were in a shop last week with a cold room. Miss M was sleeping with jacket/hat off so I parked her by the window in a place out of the way of people passing so I could see her and went in. Looked up and someone was taking her away  Chased him down shouting loudly, his response was, "I wanted to put my trolley there so I could see it." Scary business, but I think people lose all sense of reality when they get so caught up in the idea that things must be perfect at Christmas; what they mean is things must be perfect for them and everyone else can booger off. Which as far as I understand it is the opposite of what Christmas is all about.

CAFC it's unpleasant in any shop at this time of year, but if you've got cabin fever maybe a walk in a park or something?
We now have a Christmas tree stand an a carefully vacuumed floor. Next tasks: clear the dining room table and put Christmas decorations on it (pretty plate and red candled; may add some leaves), lift the rug in the corner where the tree's going because it's a nice rug and I don't want it covered with sap and unpleasantness, move the stuff that's in that corner AND THEN BUY A TREEEEEEEEE. Apparently all the 4' ones were scraggly and nasty-looking so I am allowed a bigger one :jOrganised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

SS, bet you had something to say about a trolley of shopping being more important than Molly. I'd have had a German chow down.
Glad I don't work in retail anymore, Christmas is nuts. I have a few bits to get this week, but I'll leave my car at colege and walk over. Then trapse round at a leisurely pace winding everyone up as I wander child free and looking a bit too mellow... he he0 -
Becles - I hate the madness that comes over people at Christmas and am so glad to not be at work for it this year. People are so rude when they cant get what they want and its always the people who work in the shops fault that they dont have what they want, and nothing to do with the customer leaving it to the last minute to buy the most popular toy going!
SS - Thats scary that someone was taking Miss M away, so crazy that peopla are so selfish and thoughtless.
Bruno - it is really lovely having a table, its only a tiny basic Ikea one and is pushed into a corner so we can only sit at two sides and one of them is a bit of a squish cos its down the side of the sofa, but worth it. To save more space we got folding woden chairs and then we can store stuff under the table too. eek at lack of ff space! Our house is rented too and apart from the oven and carpets everything in it is ours so we could do as we like.
Woke up to baby girl clapping at me lol. Had a pretty good night so will try the teetha granules again if she isnt settling, its nice to catch up on a little sleep and only wake every couple of hours and not every 30 min unles she is in our bed.Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

They wouldn't let him on the train without buying a replacement ticket. I am extremely mad because he didn't ask me first, but also because it was impossible situation as the thing he's going up for is not rebookable and it's a birthday gift from JULY so really had no choice ANYWAY. His phone alarm failed to go off (how cliche) so I'm mad at the situation, but not him...anyway, he's almost to Mancs now and it looks like he should JUST make the thing on time, thankfully.
Got a lovely thing in the post the morning. Can't wait to find out what it is! But in turn, just spent a fortune sending a parcel to my sister in the USA...now I remember why I always just order gifts direct
