Glad you're all sorted Mel, I was thinking about that today!
Well I've managed to get a very grumpy Squeaks to sleep, she'd got all overstimulated and tired and kept cryingnot like her at all
I need to get ceiling decs, I've never had them hereMum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession:o

Thanks everyone, I am just glad I did it...I was getting myself very worked up over it, which isn't like me at all...well not like the 'old' me anyway.
JAM - Lovely pic:) I have also been wondering about Glam lately...I think Sami speaks/txts her, not sure if anyone else does?
Delain - T got herself like that earlier today, she was refusing to sleep even though she was shattered and hadn't slept at all up to that point!! It's horrible when they do that to themselves isn't it?
Hi SM...Bet Zoe is getting excited about her birthday now, is she going to be 8?Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -
hi mel she is and she isnt .... shes just looking forward to kfc as we did something early for her birthday and went to see my sis and niece last weekend ... and yep shes going to be 8 ... i cant believe im going to have an 8 year old daughter, is it wierd some people think shes my little sister as no one believes im 25 :rotfl: ... shes not so excited about being 8 shes looking forward to being 10 as that when i said we'd talk about her going half way to school on her own and make up (shes banned from make up at the mo) so she sees it as counting down til then :rotfl: x

heya all thought as I have more than 5 minutes to myself I'd pop on by
Things seem to have been a little hectic of late and for no particular reason. T is being very clingy atm and its hard to put her down or leave her without her getting upset. I had thought it was maybe a bit of seperation anxiety but at the weekend spotted two new teeth so it may have been teething combined and am feeling a little bad for not noticing them coming through. Think she is still teething too, tried the teetha granuales at bed time tonight and its the most settled she has been for a little while. We got rid of our Computer cabinet and chair and now have a dinning table instead so we can all sit and eat as a family and its fabT started saying Mama and what sounds like Mummmumm and variations of
only thing is its now all she says when she is upset
she is standing amazingly well and can move up and down the sofa a few steps so will be cruising before long I guess eek!!!
I see we have a few littlies taking their first steps so woohoo for those
Hugs for all those who are poorly, hope your all on your way to recovery shortly.
Bruno - big congrats again xBaby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

I can't believe husband. He's supposed to be going to Manchester this morning for a long overdue birthday treat, and he's missed his bloody train.:mad::mad: He's in a mad dash to make it to the next one right now which will only barely get him there in time, but I'm wondering about the tickets - he won't have to buy a new one will he? They're £65 on the day!! (he wouldn't have time to buy a tkt before boarding regardless)top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
would like to win a holiday, please!!

Morning!
I really could have done with an extra hour in bed this morning, but Henry had other ideas then wouldn't even let me doze on the sofa.
I'm really glad you were honest with your sister, Mel, and that's it's all sorted. Now you can look forward to the wedding without it hanging over you.
Love the picture JAM. Charlotte is such a cutey and looking so grown up these days.
Work today, and I suspect it will be just about the busiest day of the year so far . It's also the fifth day I'll have been in this week, so that's a joy.
Does anyone know if Hermes deliver on a Saturday? If so then I might be getting my Thornton's goodies tonight which would mean that I could crack on with the wrapping tonight.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Pretty sure Hermes do deliver on Saturdays, so good luck GISI
Thanks for Glam update, Sami! We really do miss her.
Eeeep Alessam afraid all I can say is "it depends" on train tickets. There are a huge variety and lots cover a time-range, but some are train-specific. FWIW, I think most are time-range (e.g. "off-peak"). Good luck and for OH too!
Yayy for Mel sorting out sisters, putting up trees and eating lovely curries
And yay for gorgeous pic Jam! Really great
Somnium - dining table -hmmmmmmm I am very jealous! We really want this and don't know how we can make it work. In our lounge we have an extendable dining table which can sit 6, but to extend it we have to block off the TV and half of one of the sofas. Just can't see how we can eat together as a family without doing something drastic (and speaking to LL about her taking away some of her furniture somehow....). It's a real shame, one of the worst things about our setup here (that and lack of freezer/fridge space).
Good morning all...! So honeymoon is over, first sleepless night ticked off... Slight exaggeration, but little C decided from around 9.30pm ish that if she wasn't sucking she wasn't happy. OH fed her with short drowsing breaks from then til maybe 1am or so then got despairing, I had her nap on my chest for 30 or 45 minutes here or there, then at 3am I went and boil sterilised the new pacifier because ultimately she would always wake rooting, even if she'd fed lots 15 minutes earlier. So from then til 7am was trying to make sure OH only had to feed her every 90 minutes-2 hours, and the rest of the time I cuddled her/balanced her on chest/rested one hand by her to re-insert pacifier/etc. She would often drop off to proper sleep, but she would always wake and cry til given something to suck within 20-30 mins.
All pretty normal I am surestill tired though. And not too happy we got pacifier out so early on but didn't seem to be other good options honestly. With E he used a pacifier from maybe ... 2 weeks til 5 months? Or something like that, then came off it really easily and never looked back.
Quite pleased with E though, despite lots of crying and loud wails through the night he never woke and came to us - he got up at 6.30 and I put him back into bed telling him it was still dark, and he slept til 7.20 which is decent really.
Midwife coming sometime today... I should do some tidying up...0 -
What time is the next train? It should say on the ticket if it is a train specific one.:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0
