My completed chutneys for gifts. I'm pleased with them. Just hope they taste okay :rotfl:

My tree looks a mess, someone keeps pulling stuff off, but ofcourse nobody knows who it could possibly be... *looks at the boys*

Amer is a lot better today. LKast night I took DS2 to the GP on call and DH took her out to the outdoor ice rink. He bought her a new hat and scarf and she walked about the stalls. She came back with the HUGEST grin I've ever seen. Keeps picking up her hat and scarf and going to thr door. Think she wants to go again. DS2 is looking a bit better after he has been accepting paracetamol (half an adult tablet crushed and mixed with 10mls of juice then syringed into his gob). But DH is tired and feeling ill today. I will let him off with it because he has ram after me for over a week. I just need to get rid of this irritating tickly cough and thats me sorted. Bit tired but just feel like I have a cold rather than dying.

:grouphug: Mel. You can be a secret fairy godmother if you like.

Flat smells glorious with this lovely tree. And it has a bushy side and a baldy side, so we hid the baldy side in the corner and it looks amazing too. I'm worried we don't have enough stuff to hang on it!

I'm doing my best to keep up with the news on the student protests, apparently the Met's urban safety policy officer was accidentally kettled for six hours and when she told them who she was was refused permission to exit. And, more to the point, she's an eyewitness to horse charges into the crowd and a series of very unpleasant police attacks. I don't condone the violence on the student side, but when a senior Met civilian is complaining about police brutality it looks serious.

 Although in fairness the police are only human and are bound to make some mistakes. And if you hang out near where violent protests are taking place then you are accepting the risk that you might get caught up in it and get hurt. I wonder what the people of Oslo are thinking.

If it's your job to observe such an event it's probably not unreasonable to assume that someone in charge is a bit concerned with your safety or at least will let you out when you need to go home.

I've been kettled at a peaceful protest where there was no trouble at all and it's terrifying. Too many people, too small a space, no way out. I'm rarely truly frightened but I was then.

In that case I would expect the police to already be aware she was there.
