what do you have supporting the tree??? could you hammer some wood slanted against it to give it 4 x les and more stability? or one of those stands that you screw into it??? im not sure what else Tia
Its been a busy morning i nearly killed myself carrying Erin up to the school this morning where she refused to go with the CM so i had to carry her all the way home! Charlie is eventually back to his nursery with a bundle of christmas cards but they switched them with a bundle of raffle tickets and a letter asking for donations to the christmas hamper eeekkkk! i have found a tin of beans, 2 x packets of micro popcorn(its disgusting!) and a bottle of wine. would you say this enough on top of having to sell £10 worth of tickets? What's for you won't go past you0 -
Do you have a tree stand Tia? Or a pot? Or some handy scaffolding? *deletes highly comedic bra joke*
Caz, what's the hamper for? If it's a prize I'd leave out the beans, if it's a homeless-charity type one I'd raid for tins with a pull-top and some toiletries.
Also, I will be at the post office today, sorry I didn't get to it yesterday but I was too sick.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

We had a stand from B&Q. Heading out later to get a pretty basket that I liked in Dobbies (will be used as a clothes hamper anyway) and plan on sitting tree and stand in there then filling with bricks. Pretty bricks, it's actually quartz stone from Arran
Chris is off today with a bad cough (he's not had his flu jab this year! eeek!) and Amber has been getting worse all week. Had to give her ibuprofen last night. DH took phone call and didn't bother asking if she could get paracetamol. Ah well.
My diet has been so healthy, I am eating pot noodles because they feel good on my throat. Lack of appetite means its less than half a pot noodle, but still.
Caz, I'd say that was plenty hun!
Emlou, happy birthday!!!0 -
Poor Amber and Chris
I hope all three of you get better soon - but I love the basket and bricks idea, it sounds very sensible and if you can reuse the basket all the better (will it need lining with a binliner in case of tree moisture?). Clearly your tree thinks that by getting horizontal it'll have a better chance of getting intimate with your thighs again... trust you to pick the rudest tree in the bunch :rotfl:
Hmm, a pot noodle for lunch sounds good. We currently have four imported ones and I'm torn between one of those and a ham and cheese sandwich. The pot noodle will keep, but the sandwich is strangely unappealing.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
