kitkat - we moved LO at 12weeks. She hardly ever slept and this helped us define day and night for her ;) as well as it being esier for DH and I when we were taking turns to get up with her at the weekends and let us sleep when she was asleep!

    Hi all :)

Just a quick one to say "HAPPY BIRTHDAY Em :)" I am sorry if it has been anticlimactic, I hope at least it was nice.

Sorry for confusion this morning by posting to FB but not here; I only snatched a minute on Blackberry from hospital and FB is easier/quicker to post on that way.

We are indeed the happy owners of a tiny sleeping baby girl after a slightly urgent hospital run in the early hours - little one is doing just great (playing the "24 hour honeymoon" trick of sleeping all the time on us :p) though OH is rather more battered and on lots of painkillers and curled up with hot water bottle. They didn't really want her to leave the hospital but she insisted, hopefully we don't go back again tonight or tomorrow! After-pains are clearly worse on subsequent babies...

Thanks for all the congratulations and good wishes :) bit worn but if OH's pain gets better for tomorrow than I shall think we are definite winners! OK even if it doesn't get better we are still winners as she is adorable of course... but I do worry for her.

Off to entertain baffled 2 year old :)

I wish we could put Daisy in her own room now... but we don't have one:( Hopefully finding a bigger place to rent in the new year and either sell our house or rent it out.

    She's been so poorly today:(

Yay for good times at nursery, better bums, snowy adventures, new baby and well done on KIT day kitkat:)

Well, so far C has been asleep since we got home, bar 30 seconds where she woke and had a wail. I rocked her chair gently, E rushed over and peered at her, bent over and said "Don't. It's allll white baby sister." and rocked her chair too. So that's promising! But early days, he may be less sympathetic when woken at 3am :)

My mum was rousted from bed at 3am and got a 3.30 cab, at ours by 4.30, we got to hospital by I dunno, 5.15, delivery suite for 6.10 after triage+waiting room, baby for 7.10 :)
  • Wow, no hanging about there Bruno. Next time you will have to have a home birth, or you will end up having a back-of-a-taxi one!
