Susan, I'm afraid I went to dreadful school. One of the rules was that you had to wear shoes to school, and we had (amongst other weird teachers) one who didn't speak a word of English, that used to be always stoned, he used to buy drugs off students. I really only learned touch typing there.

I agree with James and as gorgeous as E looks, he would look equally gorgeous wearing a bin bag and taken with an old VGA camera. I would be reluctant to pay good money for photos i had bad feelings about and would get him along for the freebie Pixifoto, which would be a better shot and still cheap, even though i wasn't overly happy with them as it's so rushed but i didn't have £100's to spend on a proper sitting.

 Where did you go to school that they had to have a rule to make sure everyone wore shoes.

Question, anyone here find getting in the shower a major drama? I always used to jump in when T went for her morning nap around 10am, but am wanting to get dressed earlier than this and the safest place for T I can figure is her cot but this means a screaming fit from missy moo, so it ends up being a mad dash from me which means if I want to wash my hair I have to shower once OH is home so I can take my time. I cant strap her in her bouncer and I tried sitting her on the bathroom floor with a selection of toys and this resulted in a screaming fit too. I can get on with other stuff thru the day no prob so its just this I wanna get sorted before I go back to work.

If people live near colleges, check for photography courses and put an ad up looking for photography students. Learning to photograph children is hard work and most experienced photography students would jump at the chance to photograph children. A friend of mine is constantly chasing down Miss M because she's such hard work but very photogenic when you get her right. Token payments in exchange for a DVD of pictures (which you then wait for free offers from websites and print there :money:) and letting them use the pictures in their portfolios seems like a fair exchange.

Edit: Som, if Husband's not going to be around to mind the beastie while I shower I do it the night before :)

  • Hi everyone,
Meant to say last night - Always - hurrah for secret steps!
Kindof - I agree with everyone else about the photos, I personally wouldn't get them. I made the mistake of getting one of Amelie at nursery as 'a souvenir' when I wasn't that keen, and I'm still not keen on it. I also agree with James, whilst I don't know that much about photography, I've had to work with a number of photographers over the years, and I can see that those shots should look a lot better - E is gorgeous and they are nicely framed, but the colours just don't look right, it's not sharp enough. You will have loads of opportunities to buy photos of him over the years, but I wouldn't buy them unless you really like the picture - just take snaps yourself until you get one you just HAVE to buy, otherwise you'll only regret it. * But please feel free to ignore my advice :)
Bruno - I agree with Weezl about a couple of mornings with the cm. While I was heavily pregnant with Freddie, I took Amelie to nursery for 2 mornings a week and it was really helpful, though I was fortunate becuase she was old enough to qualify for the free nursery hours.
Hugs to those that have had a bad night - whatever the reason.
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)

Susan, I'm from Darwin in the Northern Territory of Australia. It likes to pretend it's civilised, but it's not. It's the kind of place where the newspaper front page normally has a crocodile on.

Som, we've not got a shower, but I either have a bath the night before, so OH can keep an eye on madam, or I bring her little chair into the bathroom with me. Obviously it's different to a shower though, as she can still see me, and I can talk to her.
