Aww bless, :(, I spent the last 10wks or so in bed most of the day. How on earth is she coping with a toddler? She certainly has had it tough. (and you) Must admit, wasn't exactly the glorious blooming experience I was expecting. :o Hope you have some support?

Ticked this to quote a day or two back! Thanks Tara, and not a lot of support - my mum tries but is not that mobile herself, lives 90 mins away and OH often resents her intrusion. I do what I can while working full-time. Just trying to work out now if we had better spring for some home help or nannying or something for November.
How was your 1st night without FIL Bruno?

Sad to say, ruddy awful. OH had been out with E quite a bit during the day, and her back was killing her, she to lie down to try to stretch it out from about 7.30ish on. E was exhausted and still has nasty cold and cough, I put him to bed soon after.

Then OH had some kind of combination blocked-up cold/mini-asthma attack/allergic reaction/shortness of breath thing from around 4am, where she couldn't catch her breath or find a good position, I couldn't do anything to help but couldn't sleep through it... so was awake 4-6... am now absolutely shattered and afraid OH will be too when I dump E on her!

Will cheer myself up with a couple of cute E items:

The other day I carried him to the nursery to change him against his will, and lay him down. He started wailing and I said "what's wrong little one?". He took his hands away from his face, glared at me and said "I'm CRYING."

Last night he really illustrated his grasp of pretend play - I had to sit on the floor and put my arm across to my knee, then he would knock-knock-knock on the arm, I had to move it and say come in, he would climb onto my stomach and say "in the tummy! Now to have something to eat." and sit down. Then knock-knock-knock again to get out, I would say goodbye and he would climb out and say "just going for a walk". He would walk a few feet then come back and do it all over again :p He calls the game "Arm-Gate". "Dadden, dadden, plaaaay arm-gate! Pleeeease!.

    hey bruno :)

getting 2 half days of a CM (for fergie) when I was 36 weeks (and still now!:o) was a really really ace solution for us. I know everyone is different and so I know you have different things to weigh up, but I just wanted to say that if you do go down that route then it can work really well.

Am really happy to say more/chew this over with you if you would find it helpful.

Sorry about your pants nights GISI and Hammy :( we had a bit of a bad one here but it was Husband throwing the tantrum. He's still in bed now, was pretending to sleep while Molly climbed about so I had to get up with her (I know he was pretending because I kicked the wardrobe door closed by accident and it was very loud). I'm full on with aching joints, burning eyes and a swollen throat but oh no he needs the sleep more than I do  I need to go to the office as well, although I have nothing to do there.
 and when is your last day?

our childminder? No, she works from home but used to pick up and drop fergie off, which was an absolute godsend as I am not a driver!:)

Now as things have gone on, she collects ferg on her way back from her daughter's nursery run, and DH gets him at the end of the day.

Is the travel part a bit of an issue for you guys?

    Morning all

Sorry I havent been here in a while, ive just been so busy

Have I missed anything major? or little lol

Elliot was at his last free music class and their was a photographer there which was great I was all excited about seeing the pics I could buy, but then was very dissapoiinted as he only has 3 and she took way more than that, he was playing with the bubbles they blow at one point and she took about 5 shots of that so Ive no idea where they are, even if they are crap I would still have liked to have seen them

My main vent is that there are like 10 photos of two babies, 3 of elliot, like 5 of another couple of babies, and 1 of three of the babies, and I just dont think that is fair, I think she should have taken the same amount of pics of each baby :(

Anyway, OH doesnt want to order any pics cos we dont think they are that great but I still want to order some cos I think its a special thing and I want memories of him being there

These are the 3 of him

Which one or two would you order if it was you?

 and when is your last day?

Next Friday. I've been stringing out my final paper, but there is nothing left to do but submit it. I also need to move various things onto my external hard drive and then format the work laptop and hand it over, but once that's done I'll be literally twiddling my thumbs :(

Husband just surfaced from bed to yawn at me and bring Molly back from the kitchen, where she had been happily lining up potatoes. I don't know why he did; she's dressed, which means she's finished her breakfast, and wasn't doing anything harmful.

We did just get a very interesting shaped and brightly coloured package though - I think some fairies have made an appearance!

    Right people.....

I just want to apologise for having a childish strop and not posting for a while...

basically, I posted a piccie of my beautiful baby girl and not one single person gave a nice comment, or any comment. Well 3 did.....she said...'isn't she getting big' SO in my paraniod mind I just assumed everyone thought she is an ugly troll which is why no-one commented:(

You guys know the struggle I went through for the first few months of her life and it has taken me a while to see her beauty and to really bond with her (which I have now done fully) and it felt like no-one even acknowledging the pic brought back some of my earlier feelings. I began to wonder if she was the lovely little thing I thought she was!!

I know that all sounds slightly mad, but I have NEVER seen a pic posted that hasn't had ANY comments, I lurked afterwards and a few peole posted pics which everyone then gushed over...this really hurt me tbh.........The fact that I was so upset by a load of imaginary people on an internet forum, made me realise that I needed some time away.....

Sorry for the long ramble, but I really felt like I needed to explain.......even if just for my sake:o

    Sorry xxx

Ive been AWOL I am sure the pic is gorgeous :)

I know how you feel cos its happened to me before too, but I think things just get missed?

Your LO is totally gorgeous :)

Kindof - Baby photo's are really difficult to get. I had days with Charlotte where I snapped about 50 pics, and ended up with just one or two decent ones!

I like the top one best. If you're not keen though, OH is right. Don't fall for the guilt trip thing and save your money for the next set of pics. You'll get plenty of chances to buy photos as he grows up!

I've bought pics of the boys that I didn't really like and they've just been stuck in a cupboard and never looked at rather than displayed on the wall with the photos I like. Waste of money really :o
