If you had a friend who was consistently scoring in the high teens on the Edinburgh test, what advice would you give them?

Hi, I would suggest that they talk to their midwife and/or GP in the first instance. Is it long since they gave birth?

Quite a few people on here have gone through the same, I believe, and hopefully they may be able to give you a bit more advice when they are on here. In the meantime, as a friend, it's probably would help to be there just to listen to them and act as a sounding board. May also help to drag them out occasionally - shopping, for coffee, anything like that, as it's too easy to stay indoors.
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)
  • argh, mse stole my post! note to self, you cannot type a message as you are reading because as you turn the page it disappears!
i will try and remember what i was trying to say! some may get lost in translation now but here goes

    hi everyone!
lovely snow pics, we have had a TINY amount friday and nothing else since, not sure if im glad or not but it is cold! glad we changed our gas and elec recently.
Loving the baby updates, i like to look out for Gills updates on T as he is a month older than G and i like to know what to look forward to.
always good to hear about babies a similar age to G too he was born at the end of May.
Salesshopper, i am typing as i go so you may have already had loads of response but we use SMA hungry baby. we have only used this one though so i have no comparison, (strange that i chose this because aptimel sent me a bear and cow and gate sent me a cow, it appears i cannot be bought with cute soft toys?hmm) i did find though that G much prefers his quite warm and will drink much more this way, not sure if that helps?
CAFC, would you mind telling me where you got L's bear suit from? i REALLY want one for G as we have called him bear since he was born, tired bear, sleepy bear, happy bear, you get the idea!im not sure he realised his real name for months

Redstar and saleshopper i am back in work in Jan too, i have mixed feelings...mostly how i am going to get everything done in time in the mornings!
No tree up here yet, not sure where to put it anyway because the changing station is where the tree used to go...
Am jealous of your night of sleep GISI but not of SS being stuck in a hotel room, snow may be pretty but it can certainly mess us around!
Oh, i hear baby waking from nap, sorry to ramble but he has been asleep for a while and i had chance to ramble which is rare!
    “see” you all soon xx

Sami - I don't think I'm near you, I'm in Somerset, not far from Taunton.
LOL really not near me then! Obviously the houses were just built off the same design.

thanks. I'll look at those. I called my sister for advice and she made a great suggestion. I have a rohan waterproof jacket with fancy thumb glove bits (I just discovered those today - aren't they a fabulous idea?!), it just doesn't have much/any padding for warmth. She suggested that I wear my bodywarmer under it and hey presto I suddenly look like I'm prepared. It was also very warm and will save me from spending any money until I can properly decide if its worth it/what I want ;)

    Thanks sami.

yeah for new things babies are doing:T
whoopy for good things and boo hiss for bad things :p

this afternoon I think will be spent baking cakes and scones.
LOL What a clever sister you have there :D much more :money: to layer up! The only trouble I have with the glovey things is the fabric mine are, plucks really easily so you have to be pretty careful around the velcro.

I would tell her to get her bum to the nicest GP at her practise to discuss it further, I'm pretty sure its something that will not go away on its own. Going to the GP doesn't mean medication if she doesn't want it to, what it is, is the start of the end of feeling rubbish though!:) I would also advice the generous aplication of tea and cake/biscuits/chocolate ;)

I am hoping I might see an old friend sometime soon....although she will wallop me for calling her old! Ah - she isn't popping in after all...perhaps a good thing because she won't see that I called her old!!

Are you looking forward to Christmas?

Caspie - bear coats/pramsuits are available from lots of places, we have various ones in diff sizes from asda, tesco and boden (thats the most bestest one IMO but is also expensive!)

I would suggest a visit to their GP or midwife and if there was a reason she couldn't go I'd try to offer whatever support I could to make sure she got some sort of medical support.
