If you need something in the meantime, socks should do.
When we left the house earlier that's what A was wearing :rotfl: She thought it was hilarious!
But she didn't lke the snow. her new phrase is 'Annabel no like it. no snow. no like snow' repeat over and over whilst crying for maximum effect
I don't blame her though - the snow reaches up past her waist  ANd she has a dark dislike of the sledge we bought her:o so I trudged through some new snow then gave up and went back inside:D It gave us the fresh air we needed:TStill in our hotel, Husband's doing much better and I'm watching to see if the buses are going so I can take the small girl back to Monkey Bizness - she's stir crazy today, bless herFlight's on Friday now and if that's cancelled we'll need to take a train to London, Eurostar to Paris and TGV southwards
I saw a TV ad for a down-filled coat half price, IMO the down filled ones are the most sensible although they are not terribly attractive.
hugs. Edinburgh airport has now re-opened and a good number of flights are going. I think thats a good signRmac I think you need a proper outdoorsy jacket for the snow. I'm wearing my O'neil ski jacket - pricey but I got it MSE stylee, its a large kids one and I had a 25% off voucherI've had it 5yrs now and its in great condition. Features I like are it has a sort of fingerless glove attached so when you have you actual gloves on theres no way cold is getting in your sleeves, it has a snowskirt so when you do that up, you won't get a cold breeze up your back when bending over to see to A, it has a breast pocket on the outside so you can keep something like your phone handy and not have to freeze to get it out, there are zips on the arm pit bit so if you get a bit too warm unzip them for a lil breeze where you need it
Cheaper options would be tog24 they do a nice polka dot ski jacket and almost always have offers on in store.
thanks. I'll look at those. I called my sister for advice and she made a great suggestion. I have a rohan waterproof jacket with fancy thumb glove bits (I just dscovered those today - aren't they a fabulous idea?!), it just doesn't have much/any padding for warmth. She suggested that I wear my bodywarmer under it and hey presto I suddenly look like I'm prepared. It was also very warm and will save me from spending any money until I can properly decide if its worth it/what I want
Thanks sami.

Snow here too in the wilds of Essex/ East London...about 3 inches when I woke up but its still coming now...mind you I'm at work so dont know what its like at home now...
Have left OH looking after the boys as Henry came home yesterday from nursery with temp of 38.7 and William has similar this morning..plus OH was complaining of aching all over so left all the boys to have man flu together and come to work out of the way !!
Update on boys
William is nearly walking on his own but prefers to have the comfort of a chair etc to hold onto. He has become really bad at sleeping again and wakes 4 or 5 times in the night and normally ends up with me...Joy!!
Henry is dry during the day and through his naps as well 90% of the time... he is always coming out with things that we are saying copying us to a tee but is really funny as well
Catch up in a bit as need to do some work so I can leave early if possible.Mum to 2 lovely boys who keep me busy.0 -

If you had a friend who was consistently scoring in the high teens on the Edinburgh test, what advice would you give them?0
