Thanks SM :) OH found 2 silver necklaces years ago and forgot about them. He gave me them yesterday but they need a good cleaning

Thanks Gill :). I bought some aqueous cream from boots yest as they didn't have anything else, plus i kinda wana bypass Dr's at the moment as i hate Dr's surgeries! This cream seems to be calming it a little, although part of the problem is he rubs his hands on his face all the time. But something better may be needed before it gets any worse, his chest seemed worse today (although I hadnt put anything on that at the time) I might go see the dreaded HV as I kinda wana weigh T as I am curious!
  • Morning all. I've just looked at the weather forecast. They reacon it is going to snow in the first week of December. I doubt we will get any down here, but those of you in more northerly places might want to make sure you have a blanket/water/chocoalte in the car just in case!

  • Morning, work for me today. I got up at 6:30 but typically H has only just got up! It was actually unbelievably cute. I left him asleep in our bed when I got up, but I was listening out for him. I heard him chatting so went up and he had got himself out of bed and was wandering round our room!

Hugs KK. I would speak to the HV about T's eczema as it will be easier to treat now than if it gets worse.

Morning Ladybird. I think you folks are more likely to get snow than us- I remember the year before last there was loads in Winch but barely a covering here! That was when I worked in Winch and everyone was sledging into the Sainsburys carpark!

now another dilemma... anything around the house i could clean a silver necklace with?! LOL

Line a bowl with some tin foil. Add the necklace and a teaspoon of bicarbonate of soda. Pour boiling water over it and leave it to soak. It will fizz so take care! Take necklace out and buff with a soft cloth. Easy peasy :D

Had a class night's sleep last night. Went to bed about 10.30pm, light off at 11pm and slept right through until 7.10am this morning

Off out to do some calls for work this morning, but they're fairly easy. Just putting out some promo stuff for a new DVD but hopefully the stores have already done it.

Have a good day all xx
Here I go again on my own....

  • Hi Everyone,

I think I may have introduced myself a while back, as I am both the parent of ds who is 32months and I am currently 33wks pregnant.

The reason I return is as my circumstances have changed dramatically in that my DH died in a rta on his motorbike on his way to work just over 4weeks ago, I'm sure you can imagine life is very odd for both me and ds, and this is why I return to you all, as I am going to need help with my ds, there have been challenging days in the last week especially with him in terms of his temper (never had this before).

I have been put in touch with a family bereavment support service who have been great, but they are not around 24hrs a day!

So I thought I would introduce myself here so that I do have somewhere to come and maybe get advice or ideas with helping my ds through this awful time in his little life. (Also the pregnancy ladies have been wonderfully supportive, but I dont want to keep fetching the thread down, lets face it, this is a wonderful time in life becoming a mum, dont want to depress all the ladies!)

Anyhow, I need to go me and ds washed and dressed, I hope to get to now you all better over the coming weeks and months.

    TF x
  • Hi twoflower,

We were all deeply saddened by your loss and I hope you are coping as well as can be expected in the circumstances. I am glad you have come over here and, whilst we are a little quiet at the moment, there are lots of wonderful ladies (and our token lovely man, Bruno) who will be able to give you lots of support and advice on anything from tantrums to tonsilitus (no medical advice of course;)).

    Welcome to the PT
