My interview went OK, very in depth had to go through all my responsibilities in all my past employment, what is odd for a temp contract is that they want second interviews, which I won't know about for a couple of weeks as they have more people to interview.

I hear rumours that a lot of companies are doing temp-to-perm as a way of testing out new employees. The agencies send them a few of the best applicants and if they like them they can extend their contracts rather than waste days going through the 600+ applications for every job at the moment.

  • SS - you might be right as the role is to cover maternity leave, so the chance of permanent is there.

I'm keeping my options open though.

Don't know if this is any use but I used to stick small coloured stickers on my books for what days of the week I needed them at school. So if it was Monday, I just needed to go through my books and take all the ones with a red sticker on them. It required less brain power and was much more reliable.

That's a brilliant idea. I'll suggest that to him later as we're having a talk this evening.

My interview went OK, very in depth had to go through all my responsibilities in all my past employment, what is odd for a temp contract is that they want second interviews, which I won't know about for a couple of weeks as they have more people to interview.

Pleased it went ok. Hope you get a second interview xx

Charlotte always brings her clothes into my room and we get dressed together. This morning she was messing about and she was laying on her back on our bed with just her knickers on, when a huge blue bottle landed on her chest. She properly freaked out and has refused to go in our bedroom again as she said it's full of scary things :rotfl:

Also my Mam said she knew I was on my period as Charlotte has been telling her my Dad that Mammy has bum blood :o I told my Mam that I know she's still on HRT as Charlotte was telling me all about Granny's bum stickers :rotfl: You have no secrets with her around!
Here I go again on my own....

Thanks Weezl, the digest of what I'm reading is that risks for baby are roughly comparable with first pregnancies (rates of breathing difficulties slightly higher but rates of neonatal mortality lower), and risks for mother are higher - but ERCS in a second pregnancy reduces maternal risk for that pregnancy but raises it for subsequent ones.

Things that reduce likelihood of a VBAC: 41-week plus gestation, 4000kg plus baby, male baby, no epidural, high BMI, induction/augmentation, low dilatation at admission, advanced maternal age, ethnicity (non-white), previous C-section for shoulder dystocia, short maternal stature, no previous vaginal birth.

Much food for thought, thank you.
    Interesting!

Smartie - I believe that cutting the other way is only done in certain not very common circs these days, it does still happen but rarely

    Hi
I'm happy to unlock a thread for a short time if anyone wants to edit their posts, just pm when you're online at the same time as I am :)
    Thank you Glad :)
I am just going through my old posts and wondering, as they are spread accross lots of threads (the oldest one is in PGT 2!!)
when there is just one or 2 posts in a thread is it easier for me to send you a link to just delete/edit the post rather than you unlocking/locking lots of threads? (more recent threads I have multiple posts to edit so obviously it is easier to ask you to unlock those)

Just an FYI for all - in looking back I have discovered that public FB links expire after x time so that is something at least.
Also don't forget to check if you use photobucket and the like too

I was about to ask that Sami - should we try to coordinate so we get into different threads at the same time?

    I hate my mother.

I also hate the woman in the garage as she gave me menthol cigs instead of normal and it feels like im smoking a polo
  • Anyone looking for a my pal scout? I'm gonna buy H one for his birthday for this price http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500002451&langId=-1&searchTerms=MY+PAL+SCOUT.

Just wanted to say 'thanks' GISI - I picked up a My Pal Scout for F. this morning. I wouldn't have thought about it if you hadn't linked it.
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)
