Som, what are you supposed to dress up - the toys? :rotfl: how bizarre...
*hugs* for MDW. I feel ya', hon, I just worked out that we have £40 to last us the next 2 weeks. Should be okay as the only things we need are food, but it's still depressing to be in that situation.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Morning all - I have peace and quiet! E is asleep and OH has taken the other 2 swimming while I tidy the house and prepare lunch. Then this afternoon we are off to Hardwick Hall for a walk seeing as it is a dry day for once.
hope everyone is enjoying their weekend, must dash - need to somehow make my hair half decent, stick some jackets in the oven and pop to the shop in the next 20 mins.0 -
Hello
Hope you're all having a nice weekend.
Daisy was spoilt by her fave surrogate Auntie yesterday:D We met up for brunch and Daisy was so good - charming everyone with her smile!! She is such a happy contented little girl... and too think I didn't want a girl:eek: Love her to bits I do:o;):D
She did give us a big scare last night:( She was suddenly violently sick whilst sitting on daddy. I thought it looked like she was going to have a fit but I think it was a mixture of shock and choking. We didn't have a very good night with her either so I'm a little tired.
Hugs MDW. I hope something gets sorted for you.
Ummm... I'm sure I'm supposed to congratulate and hug other people but I've completely forgot:oBLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -

Just had a rather worrying conversation with my dad where he asked if I was working now and said he didn't know that I was working....
I have worked since I left Law School in 1999
He is 65 - seems a bit young to be forgetting stuff?please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Someone has pointed me in the direction of grabbit so this is all sorted now :j
If it falls through then I'll definitely look at making my own. She's already requested some crabtree and evelyn handcream!
I don't know how they do it but every year the IL's end up requesting some sort of really expensive present...this year MIL thinks FIL would like a driving experience. Anyone seen any cheap ones? Best I can find is £75 on buy a gift but it has quite a few t & cs attached so I think we'll have to go for a £99 one. She says for us to liase with BIL, decide how much we want to pay, and she'll pay the extra. Always feel pressured into spending more than we usually would in this sort of situation!
ETA I used all of my clubcard points buying DH's driving experience so that's not an option unfortunately
Have you seen the Grabbit board? Boots have one on offer for £65Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0 -
hello all
nothing of any worth, had nice lie in's with Lan-diddly....and he's had a nap in his cot and now we're all sitting down with the boys watching F1, and me jollying about on here..........Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Gill, have you seen this? Mel doesn't want my £10 voucher so you're welcome to it
MFD, could your dad just be confused with the end of your contract and so on? My dad was once certain my degree was in a completely different discipline because we'd had a conversation about it one day. He has all his marbles, he's just not familiar with how stuff works IYSWIM.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Oh yess SS, thanks hon, for the offer of the voucher...dh is adamant that my idea of an activity present is rubbish.... So will have to have a re-think! I might see if I can get two 2nd hand bikes instead...both boys could do with new bikes, although they aren't very good on them!(hence, I will only get them a 2nd hand one)
BUT
FIL has not long phoned, apparantly he has just bought a quad bike for K, that was £200 reduced to £60! I have no idea where he has got it from , or even where we will use it...but it is a pretty substantial present, and if I get the boys a bike each at least it is a BIG gift for them....Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -
Mel try Freecycle or the police auctions?
Edit: and you're very welcome, I have this voucher and would like someone to get the good out of it.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
