Oh wow is that kneeling cushion actually flower shaped?? Thomas may have to get his Grandma one of those!

I don't know. I think it's probably just circle shaped with the Gerbera printed onto a plastic coating? It still looks cool. I love Gerberas.

this year MIL thinks FIL would like a driving experience. Anyone seen any cheap ones?

I've a £10 Red Letter Day voucher you can have, I'm not going to use it :)

Gardening stuff wise, the ladies on the SO board say Wilkinsons have all their gardening stuff half price. And there's a Grabbit for 100 free bulbs.

Tia, that tutu is adorable. I made a far less elaborate one for my niece's birthday and they were over the moon.

MFD Jack in the Boxes frighten me and always have. Those creepy little people are locked in the box for a reason.

    Morning

I'd definitely make your own gardening hamper up, then you can put in all the stuff she will use.

Sorry to hear about your letter MFD *hugs*

Josh had a Jack in the Box when he was little. It was pretty ugly, and he was absolutely terrified of it. My collie Sam was scared of it too and he would bark at it from behind the sofa :rotfl:

Nothing planned for the day here. Just going to potter on and catch up on housework and paperwork. Chelsea v Sunderland match is on the TV this afternoon and looking forward to that. Michael Turner played brilliantly at Spurs the other night and was MOTM, so I'm looking forward to seeing if he can play like that again.

Have a good day all xx
Here I go again on my own....
  • Morning all. I have a little girl who won't eat her breakfast, but is sat everso carefuly peeling a satsuma - with any luck she will eat that at least. And probably nick my breakfast too when I get round to having some!

We had a lovely evening yesterday, but the music was a bit loud, and I was gossping, so now my voice is suffering. Ick.

Suggestions for advent calendars? (I'm planning when Miss M's older to have a series of activities on little rolls of paper so she can pull one out every day)

    Christmas traditions in other countries?

Oooh I love both these ideas.

CAFC - If your looking for christmas crafty stuff then this blog has some great stuff and more is being added daily.

You could also include in your blog links to other resources like santa tracker or letters from Santa. Then thinking on for after the day maybe stationary resources for thankyou letters/cards.

Lily loves Philly sandwichs cut into small rectangles :)

T loves philly too, if i give her a splodge on the end of a breadstick you'd think it was a lolly hehe.

Our first foods were banana and strawberry, she mostly loves fruit and veg atm and is still getting used to meat and fish tho she did have some salmon last night.

Has anyone seen something like this which isn't noisy and battery powered? (ie a bit more traditional) I saw one in the charity shop and T loved it but it was really poor condition and over priced. I don't want him to just have loads of noisy toys. (altho he does have plenty)

I also want something like this where things roll down on their own but again without all the batteries and noise! I used to have one that was a castle...apparantly they were called "shufflies" and they did a farm as well.
Oh wow...this was it...mine was 2nd hand and didnt have anywhere near that many people in it!

Gill - we have that first one, we got it from ebay the seller said it was hardly used as LO was too old for it and gott it as a gift, is really good nick and T loves it. Anyhoo if your not looking for something so electrical, Wilkinsons had these.

tia - love the tutu and necklace, even without the shoes its a fab gift. You really made me wanna make some jewelry now too, I have a little stash somewhere :)

That reminds me we have a 3 day toy event on at work starting wed and we are supposed to dress up, no idea what to do, really dont wanna spend out money for a 6 hour shift especially as its only a KIT day. I think going in my army uniform is a bit of a cop out, and I dont think it fits, havent had it on in over a year!!!

WM - I'm looking for candy canes for Snowman soup too, have only seen ones in Sainsbury so far and there very washed out looking too! I do have a lovely PDF of a poem that I was sent if your intrested?

gill - i see you have something sorted now but just incase sainsburys had some lovely gardening bits.

MDW - hate those letters! lots of job finding vibes for you x
