What's the budget, Mel? I have a £10 off code if you want it.

Or this? Actually, this is the same thing for two people with a £10 reduction, and I have a voucher code I can give you for another £10 off :money:
Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

Mel, same age as your DS2, 8. He's now 9. I got it through tesco rewards... hold on I'll see if I can find it.

Oh yes I went with the cookery idea...we spotted a bargain hoer simpson donut maker in TJ Hughes so have picked that up for ds1 and getting ds2 a crisp maker...I have also bookmarked a few kids cookery books, that contain both mains and puds in them...so will most likely order those too.

I am still unsure about the activity thing, although I don't think they would like the driving or floating things...maybe shooting/archery type activities?

This is a stupid question (and prolly a bit late now that I'm going back to work next week), but is too weird to just turn up to soft play on your own? I always thought it was a place you go to meet with other people. :o

I take Henry on my own, but I think it depends on the place. The one I go to has an enclosed under threes bit with sofas in the enclosed part, IYSWIM, so I can happily sit with a coffee while Henry plays on his own, but really near me.

Speaking of which, how did you find Kids 2day Ladybird?

I am exhausted. I've been on my feet all day, chatting with people and looking teeny babies. Good fun but tiring.

Has anyone seen something like this which isn't noisy and battery powered? (ie a bit more traditional) I saw one in the charity shop and T loved it but it was really poor condition and over priced. I don't want him to just have loads of noisy toys. (altho he does have plenty)

I also want something like this where things roll down on their own but again without all the batteries and noise! I used to have one that was a castle...apparantly they were called "shufflies" and they did a farm as well.
Oh wow...this was it...mine was 2nd hand and didnt have anywhere near that many people in it!

  • Evening all. Can't stop, Benjamin is struggling to settle (not surprising after 2 late nights) and the big boys are waiting to play scrabble.

We had Pizza Hut delivered tonight (5pm) and the pizza delivery man commented on how lovely it was to see our 2 boys playing together with a train set and how it was 'lovely and like Christmas'

Do we really live in a society where seeing 2 boys playing together through a window is something so unusual it is worth comment? How sad :(

Will be back later once the biggun is in bed. Hope everyone is well xx
