Maybe you meant to congratulate Tara on Ben being MOTM in football?

I went on my own once. The idea of it being strange never occurred to me. I take her to other places (parks, swimming baths, museums) on my own so I wouldn't really thing of it any differently.

I intend to take T to soft play on my own or with DH when he's old enough.

Our Rhyme Time is a bit rubbish. It's on a Friday afternoon and one week the library does it, the following week it's sure start. I went to the library week the first time and it was fab. The lady was really into it, we did loads of songs, and she gave all the kids a little puppet to play with. The other 2 times have been surestart weeks and it's been awful. The surestart ladies wasted loads of time saying "ummmm what shall we sing now" and looking at their watches and saying "is it time for the goodbye song yet" It was really busy the first time and has been quiet on surestart weeks so I suspect everyone else feels the same! I think I'm going to go to the other library when it's surestart week at the local one. I bet I see everyone else there too :rotfl:

Thanks - I just wasn't sure if it would look a bit lame (like I didn't have any friends - which I don't :o) to be there on my own...kinda like sitting in Starbucks on your own. :o
 what's wrong with that? :p I really miss going to the cinema/starbucks on my own now I've got the sproglets

ooh I was wondering about Joe too

Nightmare night here, I think I got to bed about 3am, Ed was horrible until then! He also managed to dive face first off our bed at about 5am

  • Morning (just)

No swimming today :( Katie was complaining of a head and tummyache for most of yesterday and was most definitely not herself this morning, just wanted to sit and cuddle, small dose of Calpol later and she's a bit brighter but still very pale.

Been looking at the Sun offer to Disneyland Paris, dates restricted between Jan - March, with only one date for the coach day trip, as there's no guarantee for me working and Katie doesn't have a passport we are leaving it for this year.

    Hello Capsie.

    Well done Ben :)

GISI - well done for getting to a year, and the end being nice and gentle.

Sami, whilst I wouldn't be without madam, I do sometimes miss the freedom I used to have (and lovely long baths with a trashy mag) Still, there's plenty of time in future. I hope Ed's ok after his nosedive.

MDW, poor Katie. Hopefully the magic of mummy cuddles and calpol will get her back to normal quickly.

How did you guys know when your baby was ready to be weaned? Sophie's been showing a lot of the signs they say to look out for, so I tried her on a tiny bit of puree, which she really was not impressed with. I'm not bothered as such, as she's only 19 weeks. I'm still leaning more towards BLW, but totally clueless (as with parenting in general, I confess) Is it just a case of trying every so often, as she's developing so rapidly, that she might be capable in say 2 weeks, but not ready today iykwim.

  • Bexta - when Katie was a similar age, if I was eating a some fruit or something that she looked interested in I would let her lick it, the juicier the fruit the happier she was, so she got the taste without having to actually eat IYKWIM.

The noise she used to make when sucking on an apple :o:eek:
