    My babies xx

I just had to repost that in case anyone missed it. Way too cute, CAFC.
Gill I have the Britax eclipse which is £10 cheaper and the only difference is that its forward facing only if you can wait until T is big enough. Its quite big and heavy though so would be better being left in one car. Its this one...

We've got the First Class and the in-laws have got the Eclipse and they are very similar. We've had no problems with either of them.

DH just cooked us an awesome roast for tea. We're now slobbed out in front of the TV drinking wine- this is the life! We can hear lots of fireworks but not actually see any. I'm not that keen on them really so I'm not bothered to be missing out on the drizzly weather.

:jMy in-laws are coming to have H tomorrow so I can have an afternoon to myself :j. I think this is the first time ever, and I plan to do lots of sorting of Christmas presents and some cooking. I can't wait!

I'm off to bed, it has been a long day and I am ready to sleep it off. More big hugs for Tia and Amber and anyone else who might want or need one.

Tara, I was numb. Being in hospital didn't feel real at all. It's all starting to hit in now though. Googling helps since I understand more about what happened, but it also shows how lucky my little girl was.
  • OMG - I have been away for 2 hours on a Saturday night and it took me about 2 mins to catch up....what is going on in here?

Tia - massive hugs hun. Once you have settled down if there is any advice you can give us then we would all be grateful...

...for example...if baby is throwing everything up is is wrong to give them more calpol? Ie - does the concentration of Calpol vs food, fluids etc in baby's body make a difference?

Or was this a one off freak incident?

From what I have read, fasting (not eating) plays a part in paracetamol toxicity. So if they haven't been eating for a while, then I would not now give paracetamol. I would also speak to a doctor before giving little ones paracetamol for more than a day since the second doctor I saw said that Amber should not have been getting what the bottle says based on her body weight.

I will be asking on Monday MFD, so will pass it all on.

Think I have went from 'oh just give em calpol' to 'OMG!!!! NOT CALPOL!!!!' so you will all have to forgive me.
