Big Brands 4 Less!!! they have a few really good items inc the chocolate and toffee dips!! a few may have fallen into my basket and will be hidden form the kids :D

How about a dog share with your parents? a week at each house and then there wouldnt be a problem with being overwhelmed with him! there are also charities that will help with getting him done or even stud him out and with the fee you could use that! hope things work out for you soon!

Good news Tia hope things keep improving xx
What's for you won't go past you
  • Just been reading back on last night and already I can't remember much. :o
Elle - hugs, sorry OH has been a twonk, and well done on handling it so well.
EA - hope the scan goes well.
Mel - hugs, don't worry about the eating junk bit just do what you need to. Plenty of time to worry about the eating later when you feel better.
Smartie - hope the baby group goes well.
WM and GISI - sending you (and anyone else still feeling poorly) more get well soon vibes.
SS - pleased everything went well yesterday (may have already said this, but I can't remember :o)
CAFC - I'm pleased you're feeling a bit better, and I hope you can find a workable solution with the dog.
I'm sorry, I think I may have missed something re baby Lily - I hope she's ok? Sending get well vibes if needed.
Re veg, I've always been lucky because Amelie likes most veg. I do agree however with involving them in the preparation sometimes, A always likes to help and she's more likely to eat something she doesn't like if she's helped make it.
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)

It must have been a dream then. It was a boy with a very obvious......boy bit! :rotfl:

Yes it was a dream i had a few nights ago :rotfl:

4 hours until the scan and now im very nervous. I was scanned 2 weeks ago and everything was completly ok, but im still worried that im one of the 2% where something goes wrong :(

I had a funny moment this morning, yesterday i bought some bread to make Lily toast. This morning i went to put it in the toaster and i couldn't see it, i was thinking "where is it gone??" and then i realised we threw it out ages ago :rotfl::rotfl::o

So she had mini Philadelphia sandwichs which she loved :D

    WM hope you're better soon!

Have you seen all the drama going on with the Next baby comp? lol... Apparently people have been messaging each other hate mail saying their kids are ugly, some people have been canvassing the streets asking for votes. Pathetic!!!

My fb profile is private but i've even had messages from 2 people asking me to vote in that Next comp and saying they'd vote for mine in that local one i'm on. People are crazy!!

  • Morning all

    Ethelsmum
seems similar to my little boy, he refuses to nap too - starts yawning put in either the cot or chair downstairs but then he fights sleeping. He sometimes can go to sleep after crying for a couple of minutes or on me as he did yesterday or the last resort in the car seat. Just feeding him again now, going to change him, get myself ready and we are driving to bluewater where I am hoping he will fall asleep on the drive and for me to get some lunch! Good luck as like you say makes them grumpy and you stressed.

EA good luck with the scan, just found out my SIL is pregnant and due same time as you!

Smartie enjoy your group, I go to a couple of groups and met some really nice mums.

Tia hope things continue to get better xx

I know!!And there's a load of rumours going round saying it's not even run by Next and it's a big !!!!!phile ring!! Which isn't true. (i don't think!)

I reckon one of the entrants has started the rumour so people leave and it then ups their odds of winning.

    Morning

Glad Amber's had a good night, hope she's better and home soon.

Re: vegetables- I am afraid I can't offer any advise, even at the age of 24 I still can't eat anything that looks like a tree... At a push I'll eat pasta with a cheesy broccoli sauce but if there's any visable mini trees they get left... But I think my eating habits were caused from fear of veg and my dad...

T's now had 2 bottles of his new milk, he seems to enjoy it. It does seem v runny compared to comfort milk though but he doesn't seem bothered. HV said I should see difference in 48 hours; I found the last feed there was defo a small difference but I will see how things go.

Cafc glad to hear your getting on well, maybe snipping Gordon might be the answer, my parents always found this the best solution with dogs behaviour as they can get a bit jealous and try to dominate. Keep forgetting to say well done to your DH on new job!

How is everyone else this morning?
Still feeling sick but definitely not pregnant. I think OH is a bit gutted as he was convinced I was.

Just been lurking a bit, someone asked about braxton hicks in first pregnancies. I didn't get any. When my proper contractions started I kept telling my husband that this is just braxton hicks I can't be having the baby yet. Then 4 1/2 hours later I had given birth! I was in denial throughout lol.
:rotfl: and  - how quick might you be next time!
Work has turned into a bit of a nightmare at the moment- much more is being asked of me than is my job, plus I am not getting paid any more. I'm not really sure what to do, but for obvious reasons I'm not really up to it at the moment. I'm going to plough through this week, but then put my foot down.
Is it because you switched from being a manager to an assistant manager and your manager isn't that great? If so is there any way of referring things back to your manager that he/she should be doing without making you look bad?
Pop to the poundshop and pick up a bag of those little gold medals... Next time he proudly tells you what he's done... Give him a medal for it ;)

susan, (and/or anyone else who understands the child tax credits system) Hi, I downloaded the HMRC pdf file with the worked examples, but am still scratching my head.

In january we lose 20% of DHs income plus all my SMP. I was hoping this might make a difference to our tax credits, but I am struggling to understand the thresholds at which point income has already reduced any gain, at the 39p in the pound rate.

I'd be grateful if anyone knows the amount of earnings above which the first and second child element would no longer be payable? :)We deffo will get the new baby element up til March, but above/beyond that I am not sure....
