gill - cut carrots keep better in water IMHO and should keep for a while - few days at least. Cook in microwave or boil straight from frozen to the softness you desire. If wanting to keep them pretty raw, then run them under the cold tap to stop them cooking. Open freeze, then put into a freezer bag so you can take a couple out at a time.

Annabel loves strong cheese, so why not try him and see his reaction?

Can I have some finger food/BLW advice please? Can I give T mature chedder or will that be too strong? He's already had swedish cheese and edam but I don't buy ordinary chedder. Any other cheeses that your little ones have tried and liked? If I steam up some carrot battons how long can I keep them in the fridge for? Also can I freeze them and what's the best way to defrost them? Also any shared experiences with first finger foods (for a paranoid mummy!) would be welcome :)
Just try him with it and see if he likes it. Alice used to like Cathedral City but not Pilgrim's Choice.

I used to stick all cooked sticks of veg but enough for the next day or two in the freezer. When I needed them I'd zap them in the microwave and then let them cool. They were cmall enough that they didn't take that long.

Hi, mature cheddar is 1.8g salt per 100g so if it was the only thing containing salt they ate that day then you can give a less than 1 year old up to 50g a day.

    HTH :)

I would freeze the carrot sticks raw and just get out a couple and microwave/team/boil as and when needed then you 'know' you won't have any wastege
there is no 'too strong' in favour IMO :D Edgar loves mature cheddar, we grate it tho, he doesn't like it in big chunks same goes for chris??

Right so I just went to the shop to get my mum some crisps.

There is a sign downstairs saying "Bag found contact number 2" Number 2 is where the caretaker lives.

I buzzed but she must be out.

Do you think it could be mine? What are the chances of it being someone elses lost bag? Im getting my hopes up.

We pretty much only buy mature cheddar, so that's what Finn eats. Don't be afraid of taste or flavour, babies have tastebuds just like we adults! :)

Cooked veg starts to go manky by day 3, definitely, so try to only cook small portions at once.

Buttons, it might be yours... But I wouldn't hold your breath that there'd be anything of value left in it... You never know though, sure you bought it home and didn't leave it in the shop by accident? ;)

    Happy birthday btw :)
