Molly walked, Gill's Thomas was christened, lots of people have been ill, lots of children have been ill or had bumped heads, ClaireJones had a car crash (she was okay but the car isn't), WM's dog had to be put down, Rhys had a blood test which had to be redone, there were lots of exciting deals which we missed out on by not being here, we're mad at SS's employer and mad at lots of people's OHs and probably lots of other things I've forgotten.

Not that I sat and read through the whole lot today or anything.

Thanks Susan! Congratulations to Molly on walking. Gill - I hope the Christening went well - I bet Thomas looked handsome! ClaireJones - sorry to hear about the crash - I hope you've recovered ok, no shock or anything?
WM - I'm so sorry to hear about your dog, I hope you are ok?
    I hope Rhys is ok.
SS - sorry that you're having problems with your employer - grr on your behalf.
I hope all those who have been ill are feeling better?
Sorry for being lazy and not reading back, and apologies to those I've missed.

It was just little things I picked up on as my ex was from down south. Like when you are standing in a shop queue here, you usually end up talking to a random person about the weather or something, but if you start talking to random people down there, they just look at you as if you're a weirdo :o
Random people seem to talk to me wherever I am. Especially now I have Alice - apparently a little girl who wears dresses and ribbons is something of a novelty. In London two Chinese ladies took photos of Alice and one time in charity shop in Darlington a lady called her friend out of the fitting room shouting, "Come and see! There's a little girl here wearing a smocked dress and ribbons in her hair."

Thanks Arnie - Molly has taken against walking unaided (again) so we're back to handholding and the walker :o I am starting to worry about it a little tbh. And my HR department is deserving of all the bile we can spare from being angry at the various obnoxious OHs.

Edit: 3, a few years ago I was knocked down in St Peter's Square in the Vatican ... by a group of three nuns trying to get into the cathedral ahead of me  :rotfl:

:rotfl::rotfl:That has given me a fantastic 'you've been framed' type picture in my head! :rotfl::rotfl:

Now I'm wondering if I've missed something? Is there a reason people are going mad in the shops?

    What's happening tomorrow?

Whilst I was standing in Asda looking at the empty shelves and masses of people queued up the aisles, I did wonder if i'd skipped a couple of months and it was suddenly Christmas eve.

From noseying in peoples trolleys, it seems everybody (except me) is having a Halloween party.

We are slowly being taken over by America.

The curry went down well! Me & J shared a Dhansak and L & V shared a Makonwalla. V was eating the mango chutney straight from the spoon and pulling strange faces.

Hi Glam. I'm hoping to be there on Friday, I haven't seen J for months, I bet he's a proper toddler now.

Anyone meeting Friday - what time are we meeting? I remember it was later than normal and unless I can find a sitter, I need to be back for 3.20. :(

Does anyone think that if I let V stay up a little later tonight, she'll get up at normal time tomrrow rather than an hour early?

    Don't forget the clocks.

It's not lazy - I only read back because I wasn't feeling well enough to do anything more productive.

We're not having a Halloween Party. We haven't even had any trick or treaters yet. Last year we had six on the 30th and five on the 31st. Maybe they were put off because we gave out children's bibles instead of sweets.

Valentine's Day is an American import too - My Grandad said that when he was in the US in 1954 he sent my Grandma a box of Valentine's chocolates as a suprise because it was a big thing there but wasn't anything over here.

And they've even taken over the BBC - I noticed yesterday on the Radio Four news they were using American dates instead of British.

    I hate it! :(

L has a real sulky face on because absolutely 'everybody' is going trick or treating and she's the only child in the whole world who isn't!

I've told her she can dress up and answer the door to people who call here, and we can do duck apple but that's just a rubbish idea! **rolleyes**

    Hi 3

He is! He runs around like a loon and sometimes just stands there laughing his head off! :rotfl::rotfl: He's a proper little man now!

I'll be there around 1pm, my fault the meet is a bit later. :o I'll need to work until 12.15pm then get changed in work and get from St Helens to Wazza collect J and get there. Not sure what time everyone else getting there though.

DT1 - Ages ago you mentioned LO's talking. J is the same age and can only say Hiya, Dada, Mama, ta - he understands a lot but doesn't say a lot (I wonder if he's mine ). Like he takes my keys and goes to the front door, he gets his shoes and socks if I ask him and sits down to try and put them on. He mainly just kinda grunts and makes noises like mmmmmmmmm is milk and he does brum brum when he's on his car. I'm not worried but then I've not been to baby clinic since he was 6 months old and tend to get him weighed when we go to A&E
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?

    evening all :D

had a lovely time in Liverpool.

Hotel was lovely. We did the Beatles Story then went to the Cavern Club, was some live music and was great atmosphere. Went to Jamie Carraghers restaurant for our tea which was gorgeos :D. Then went to a Wetherspoons (cant remember which one lol). Then we went to 'The Tube' which played all 80's music. i was in my element :D:D the DJ took requests so me and DH requested all our faves, then went to The Grape for the last few drinks. Now I am trying to think what I need to pack for Lanzarote lol!!

Am tired....we had such a lovely time in Liverpool, we are going to go again next year. And will be going for a family day out nearer to Christmas.

    Hope everyone is well.
