SS I have a present challenge for you: Christmas present for BIL. Budget £5-10. He's just bought a house, likes skiing, photography, DIY and playing the violin and doesn't like unusual foods.

Susan, they some Ski-ing type weather gear in Lidl this week.

Bepanten is brilliant for nappy rash. make sure the skin is dry and you only need a little bit. it clears up after 2-3 applications.

Kitkat, *hugs*, poor T (and mummy). Do you have anyone that could maybe come over for a bit whilst OH is away? You're doing a fantastic job, in difficult circumstances. Take care.

Also, I keep forgetting to say congratulations to Aless on her new job! Well done for beating internal candidate, although sucks about not being paid for ages :(

Susan, what about a first-aid or emergency kit for the house?

    Plasters
    Bandages
    CO detector
    Candles/torch
    Smoke alarm batteries
    Spare batteries
    Stuff like that?

Cakes are wonderful! im good at little cakes but not really brave enough to make a big cake like that!!!

Oh Susan im so excited that your coming :D

My question, after horse riding and walking and overdoing the cleaning and lifting yesterday i am really suffering. Its like having SPD again, do you think it could be connected (i know she is nearly 2 lol)?

Thanks Bexta for the hugs and lovely of you to say that :) didn't feel like I was doing a great job yest when I left T crying and stood outside crying myself, but I felt much better when I went back to him, and he had stopped crying :p I just felt like when he isnt sleeping or having his bottle he just seems to be crying, but then he isnt well so its expected. My mum popped over Tuesday so I might ask if she can come over a day or so next week, its nice to have someone to talk to, and to take T for a few minutes so I can actually eat/ get on with stuff.

:T Thanks. :D If OH doesn't agree to either of those he can go buy his brother a present himself.

My little man is still poorly :( full of cold, and still terrible diarrhoea. Having to change him 1/2 hourly and he is now covered in nappy rash due to being changed so often. I am using water and cotton wool, and covering him in sudacrem but nothing is helping :( anyone got any recommendations on how to stop it getting any worse please? He seems v unhappy at the mo and its horrible, wish I could make it go away. Thankfully he is napping now but when he is awake he is crying a lot.
Only thing I can think of is nappy free time. Hopefully he's young enough that he doesn't move too much if you lie him down and you can lie him on some old towels or cloth nappies if you use them. Obviously it will be rather messy and a lot of work but probably better than the nappy rash.

*demands to know where Mel is, as she doesn't like being kept in suspense*

Just came in from town, brrrrrrrr. Went to the library and apparently the takeaway book is a "potential" and the librarian has no idea when they might buy it - I've put my name down all the same :). Meant to go to Aldi, but then got side-tracked by Holland & Barratt's BOGOHP sale and the charity shop. Is it sad that I felt a bit sad in H&B, as I remember the last big sale I was buying preggo stuff like EPO and RLT.

Finn is happily ripping up our Argos catalogue and I'm off to see what today's flylady tasks are :).

eta: kitkat, camomile tea is supposed to be soothing for bums. Maybe try using some cut up flannels soaked in it to wipe his bum with?

would like to win a holiday, please!!

Kitkat, don't be upset by it (hard not to, I know). By giving yourself a 'time out', even though you were upset, it gave you chance to calm down a bit and go back to T with your mummy hat on.

I know when Sophie gets a stress on, sometimes she calms down quicker if I lay her on her mat (although sometimes she doesn't, awkward madam :p)
