Does anyone have experience of M&S for bra fitting and nursing bra's? I need new one's and have been given £200 in gift vouchers from work as I've been with the company 10 years so thought I'd get them there. TIA

I had a rubbish experience in M&S when I was looking for a basque to wear under my wedding dress. The lady said I was "far too big" for a basque (yes because size 14 is sooooo huge). She measured me and went off and came back with this balconette push up bra. I wasn't sure but put it on. She said I looked lovely, but I looked more wench like than bridal with them shoved up in the air wobbling precariously about. She said I looked lovely in it? When she left, I tried leaning forward in the bra and I fell right out of it. That would have been great on my wedding day :rotfl:

In the mean time I overheard a shy young girl in the next cubicle being fitted for a pregnany bra. She didn't want to try get changed in front of the lady, and I heard the M&S lady snap back at her "for heavens sake, they're only boobs. It's not like I haven't seen boobs before in this job"

Ended up getting a basque at a local shop called Sadie the Bra Lady. They're lovely in there but they only have branches in the north east. I can't remember where you live, so not sure if that is of use or not.

One day I will splash out and go to the place my sister goes to in Liverpool. She apparently doesn't measure with tapes, she looks what size she thinks you are then makes you try on til you get the perfect fit. Sister spent about £80 on two bras and three nicks though.

Bravissimo do that, but they are a bit expensive :o

Glad the scan went ok EA.

That's brilliant news on the job Alyss - well done :j
Here I go again on my own....

Yes, I assume I beat the internal candidate - if only literally now for making me wait this long :rotfl:

Tax credits experts...does anyone know how they calculate it if I only have childcare part of the year? Because the entitledto calc assumes the same weekly rate all year, I believe.
they do detail how its worked out on the website, its quite hard to find amongst a load of waffle tho! have you use the proper HMRC calc?
I have a feeling you just get 70% of the childcare cost tho

I think it WAS 80% childcare, but they have reduced it to 70%.

They have made it so couples have to be working 24hrs to claim WTC, joint hours whatever, does that apply to single parents? Cause Im struggling to find a job I can do with Keira right now, if I have to work 24 hours im going to be so screwed.

I'll have to be a prostitute or something.

That'll mess up your tax credits for sure.

Well I'm not going to charge poverty rates so I won't need it :rotfl:

£400 for 2 minutes of sex, with 10 condoms on and 17 femidoms, and also a blanket to cover any sort of exposed genital area, just with a little hole cut in - seems reasonable to me! Also must present me with an up to date STD certificate.

Yeah, I don't think I'm being fussy at all.
