Is it safe to come out now? all the b1tchin stopped??........Ok FWIW I recommend the SAMSUNG NC10 notebook.....I bought my good lady wife one about 12 months ago. She uses it for exactly what the OP wants a notebook for. It has an amazing battery life of around 7 hrs and is great for general surfing ,facebook,twitter,wi-fi,bluetooth,webcam etc etc etc.

Ok heading for me bunker and tin hat ready for the incomming shelling.....:D

Oh and you can pick one up for around £230-00

Indeed you have taken the time to explain why you think it's suitable. ;)

Rather than just posting a link with no information and whilst it lead to the DELL website, it wouldn't work beyond it.
So I asked the OP to elaborate on the pros and cons of the machine, including the battery life.

Either they didn't know or chose to be argumentative, I'm not sure.

But in the end I decided that whatever the pros and cons, it did fit with the OP's criteria as they didn't ask for bells and whistles.

    So I deleted my question.

You can sometimes find new NC10s for around £180.
  • Not withstanding the afore mentioned, Since the OP (hinchy) wants a netbook and wants to run Linux why hinchy do you not ask for recommendation for a Netbook with Linux/No-Os whatsoever. The ones which come with MSoft will include a premium for that. I have a Sammy N140 which at times is very useful for Home use ie using the MS home network, but when in the pub and checking email and footy scores/Betfair I use Ubuntu for qucik boot, and quick shutdown. I suppose I would suggest you look for Linux pre configured books, unless you need some Msoft stuff too.

I have better things to do than trolling with drivel on these forums like the childish moron that you are. Next time you post something, think about it before you delete it later on when you sober up.

My question is still there within your reply. You still haven't managed to answer it. I asked you about the battery life of the machine to which you linked.
If you knew you could have replied immediately. Perhaps it takes you seven hours to find the answer. I think that makes you the moron.

If you don't know, just say that you don't know.

I must have known the specs when I challenged you to come with something similar for a better price (something that you obviously failed to do and that lead to you deleting your first post). Now that I can't see you giving any useful ideas or contribution to help the OP with his question, I suggest you go to sleep now or find something useful to do with your sad existence. On a second thought, may be you can wait for some refurbished crap to come on your ebay outlet before you can copy it and paste it onto this thread.
Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????

So what is the battery life for the machine? Only the fourth time that I've asked. :)
I asked because the other specs are unremarkable, so the deciding factor must be the battery life.
Hence me asking. But seven hours later, you still haven't quite got around to replying.
I guess because you are teenager, you are still in your teenage rebellious phase. So I'm taking it easy on you.

Now, redeem yourself by telling us the missing details of the battery life, instead of just cutting and pasting.
