Hi- just to let you know I received a cheque for £44 today and my tax code has been changed to allow £60 per year personal allowance - took approx 3-4 weeks to come through0

Military now entitled to claim, bloody can't find the page on the HMRC website with the details but it does exist
back date for 5 years (2008-09) and an extra 5% for previous years. Although i'm not sure how their delay will affect backdating for longer. I initially claimed two year ago so i will be asking for my claim to be back dated till the 2006-07 tax year.
Will update this post when i get into work on Monday with the link.0 -
Hi. I just received a reply to my claim and they tell me as I have not completed employment pages for 10-11 and 09-10 then they can not update my claim for these tax years. Is there anything I can do about this now or is it too late?0

All military members should receive the rebate via their pay statement in March/April.

I phoned them up to enquire about the tax years prior to 2008-09 due to sending my original enquiry back in 2012 (meaning i would have been claiming back to the 2006-07 tax year at the time) and having to wait for them to make up their minds, only to be told this is a one off rebate for up to the last 5 years (providing that you have been in service for that length of time) but all future tax codes will be changed to ensure that we receive the allowance automatically.
Oh well thats an extra £125(ish)0 -

Yes,I did.
then you have your answer - you have been asked to complete the pages you didn't do first time round
its now too late to amend it online so you'll need to contact HMRC directly and check how they want it done - don't delay though as you must do this before 5/4/14 if you want to claim for adjustments in 09/10
