I don't know how we can be better off as they never seem to have points deals any more, just money off. I always used to take advantage of the 1000 points on a £50 spend but can't remember when they last had one of those.:(

Totally agree. Hardly any from till spits, very few with statements and virtually none with the various clubs (wine, healthy living etc.).
Just Tesco propoganda making us think we are so much better off with double points.

oh dear, what bad timing. I have loads of vouchers saved up to convert but I only`use them for cinema tickets since everything else seems to involve MORE expenditure (ie. Pizza Express you have to buy drinks etc). I guess they might bring back double points for food at some point.........................

dont do theme parks, cant afford to go abroad..any other ideas of what I can spend them on before December?

if you convert them in you have 6 months to spend them as vouchers won't expire until June 11.
Quite a few people convert them into vouchers and sell them on ebay

Magazine subscriptions don't involve any additional expenditure.

What a cynical move by Tesco.

First you double the number of points you earn - everybody thinks it's great.
Then you increase the number of vouchers needed by a third - starting to look less great.
Then you put back the number of points to where it was in the first place (it will happen soon - you can be sure of that) - fantastic. For Tesco, anyway, because they've managed quietly to halve the cost of the scheme.

Smoke and mirrors - just like doubling the cost of Clubcard Deals as against the price you'd normally pay.

    :(

We use them for merlin annual passes and it's been hard enough to get them this year, still short of 50 points for the last one. I suppose I should at least be grateful that I can get the final one before they bring in this change.

You can still use them for the double up clubcard promotion, which worked out better than most clubcard deals. Does anyone know if they'll do another one close to Christmas?
