They may be giving you an extra point as a bonus for now but believe me you are paying for it in price increases. In 6 months time when it has all quietened down they will remove the double points very quietly and you will only get 3x deals whilst still paying inflated prices.
And then we will all vote with our feet and shop elsewhere - until then, grab every point you canWho made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Thanks, wasnt aware of that. You cannot use double-up vouchers on your normal groceries, only on specific categories such as clothing, baby, gardening. last time i used mine for pet food so that was OK but I wish we could double-up for our food too.Ellie

this is disappointing, but IMHO (& no, I don't work for Tesco or particularly like them!) the deals have been astonishingly good value over the years.
For several years we have had eurotunnel crossings, ski lessons, Paris attractions, many magazines, RAC cover....all effectively FOC.
Hundreds of pounds worth of things.
Now we don't always shop there, but with the tesco Visa card we get points anyway (but not at Costco....wish they took visa !)......
Whereas my nectar card has got us a couple of fivers off at Argos.
So I am not entirely surprised at Tesco's move to lower how much they give away.....disappointing, but chance for some last deals before Xmas !Plan for tomorrow, enjoy today!0 -
I do resent the implication by several posters here that if you shop at Tesco you are happily paying more for your groceries than you need. We, and I am sure we are not the only ones, shop around so that we buy things where they are cheapest. It doesn't necessarily follow that just because you are shopping at Tesco or Sainsburys that you are a mug who will blindly shop there simply because they give you clubcard or nectar points!
We use our vouchers for deals, usually converted to days out vouchers. This enables us to visit places that we would not otherwise be able to justify/afford. So yes, the drop to 3 x value will affect us a little, but as it will still work out cheaper to visit places such as Pensthorpe, Eden Project etc by using the vouchers, we'll continue to do so and be glad of it, I think. If the double up was reintroduced on phone top-ups I would possibly consider using an occasional £5 worth for that though now, whereas I would not have done so before as the difference in converted value would have been too great previously.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Just ordered some of our usual restaurant vouchers. I know there are loads of printable ones, but those are not usually valid for a Saturday.
We've just had a Eurotunnel on vouchers. Did RAC one year. I feel we've done pretty well out of them.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.
(Pity they are mangled by this autocorrect!)0 -
We use the Clubcard points purely for airmiles and have already had our 'chop' lol - 60 airmiles for £2.50 revised down to 50 airmiles.
Can live with that given the double CC points ;-)0 -
