I used my last two odd socks (for now) over my hands when I was planting my bedding plants and needed to dig about in the earth. They were filthy and then went straight into the bin but I felt they had had a good send off! My oddsocks very often lurk in the corners of my fitted sheets and are only found when I'm replacing the bedding!:)
  • When I was rushing round to clean in expectation of the in-laws I spritz the bathroom mirror with cleaner and didn't have a cloth to wipe/shine it with.

Nearby laundry pile, small sock... Perfect buffer for streak free windows and glass! I use them every time now! (I use the trainer socks - and they fit my hand perfectly and don't feel quite so daft!)
  • How do you organise your socks for washing? There are 6 of us here and I have a bag full of odd socks. For the life of me I cannot find their partners.
I daren't throw them out cos then the other ones will turn up!

    It's driving me nuts!

My MIL used to make everyone in the family (3 kids plus husband) fold over the tops of the socks in pairs before putting in the washing basket.

There is only me and the little one here and I have the same type of bag...

Some of the flyladies to the same as tiff has suggested... The go into the wash in pairs, come out of the machine in pairs and are hung up in pairs. Im afraid Ive never managed to put it into practise as yet...

Every now and again, I take the bag and chuck it away or use the odd socks for cleaning etc - some of the partners have never been found, but a new bag seems to accumulate after another few months... It drives me mad too :(
:)Sometimes lurking, sometimes posting, but always flying:)

:D I will declutter my house and debts :D
  • My mum used to buy all of us (mum, dad, me, brother) the same black socks so it didn't matter who got what socks out of the wash pile! Never had any odd ones then unless one of a pair got holey.
