Or fill some with some bicarb and essential oils and shove in your drawers and wardrobes to keep things smelling fresh, or even tooked behind something as a home-made air freshener.
So, thank you all for the tip, to buy same socks from now on.
thanks. Y.0 -
Some people have house chickens (yes, really) and a nappy for them can be made out of a sock. I *think* this is how it goes.

I tie the odd socks together to make tug toys for my dogs or put an old tennis ball in the end of a long sock and tie it in. The dogs enjoy these 'toys' just as much as the proper dog toys (which I think are far too expensive to be torn apart by the dogs in no time at all).

Don't worry about wearing odd socks,I went out the other day in odd shoes! one cream /one black same style so they felt the same, neither I or my friends noticed for a couple of hours,is this a sign that I'm getting old?
On the problem with socks disappearing in the washer or dryer put them all together in one of those mesh laundry bags with a zip top and wash /dry them all in one go, that way they all stay together ,it also helps to keep fluff off them from other items in the machine, also works for jumpers. What goes around - comes around
give lots and you will always recieve lots0 -

Look behind your radiators!! ;-)
Shortly after moving into my house I found 15 odd socks, a Mr Men book, a candle, a biro, a nearly empty tube of hand cream and a 6" screw behind my radiators! I figured it was a good idea to check behind them before winter set in after the previous owner retrieved her mobile phone from behind the bedroom radiator on moving day - it turned out her young daughter had put it there (-: I posted these things through their letter box but I still have no idea if the socks have been reunited with their partners.......0 -

I have a big washing basket full of odd socks! I have been slightly good and gone through and thrown out any sock that we'll never wear even if I do find the other one and those where the elastic has gone. Though I still have this big basket full! Seems to be a very large amount of childrens socks in there which are now too small...but as I'm trying to save money I'd rather try and find the partner for each of them for the new baby
What really annoys me though are black socks which you think are the same but are subtly different!Fluttering about an inch off the ground, I may fly properly one day and soar in the clouds!
SPC2 #571 - trying to get as much as possible0
