Disappointment folks....the fares I priced don't apply for suitable flights at the weekend.....best I can come up with is over €200 which, when added to however little spending money would make it rather more expensive than would suit at present. Will see what I can do to-morrow....have a Ryanair voucher which has the wrong name on it will ring them and see what can be done (if anything).

So relax all....take that pin out of your nose Mardatha and put it on your coat, and tell that RV that he is just afraid of us all!

    awww, Marie, that's such a shame :(

if I lived in or near Edinburgh I'd put you up from Friday to Monday, or whatever days are suitable for your flights
you'd be welcome to come stay here in Dundee, but by the time you added on 2 return train fares, see below, I doubt it'd be much cheaper?
or maybe we can work something out with you me & Csarina?

btw, for the over 55's ;) you can get a return rail ticket for £18, to & from anywhere in Scotland, must be used by 30th Nov though

not sure if there are any of these close to edinburgh but it's worth a look for those that are interested in coming but need lodging

  • That's rotten about Marie's tickets, Marie if coming to Prestwick is any cheaper then book that and I can take you through to Csarina, I don't have enough space or you'd be more than welcome here, but if your flight back is early morning I'm sure we could squeeze you in the night before :D

  • Right, flying in and out of Prestwick Friday night to Sunday night is 50 euros which is a *bit* more doable for you hopefully, I could take you to Csarina on Friday, and on Sunday if Csarina didn't mind, she could bring you to edinburgh airport and I'll pick you up there and take you down the coast - or even if you got the train from Edinburgh to where I live its about £9. Think on it and we can discuss the practicalities later.

she is indeed, well done Jackie :T

I was lying in bed trying to work out who I could ask to pick Marie up (I've no transport myself) & depending on the length of her stay, the logistics
directly to csarina's from the airport? or bring her here? then over to csarina's? then back to Edinburgh? or maybe, or maybe ... my head was spinning & for once it wasn't the drink! :D
  • .............phew, sorry I took so long to reply, I was polishing my halo!:D :rotfl:

I would be sad if George never got to meet up with Fred the pict! *runs out*
