following on from the *ahem* slightly unsuccessful East Lothian OS Meet earlier this year, would anyone fancy meeting up in Edinburgh in the near future?

I met up with the lovely meanmarie and organic wanabe a couple of winters back and it was great to meet other OSers :) people from afar are welcome too!

edit 22/11: we are meeting outside WH Smiths at Edinburgh Waverley Train Station on Saturday 27th November at 12.30.

Plan so far is to go to the Christmas Markets and have lunch at the Filling Station on Rose Street (it's not too far along!) at 1.30pm. For anyone joining us at lunch, there is a booking for 20 people and we have 3 booths reserved for us downstairs.

I'd deff be interested but it would depend very much on when and where etc as its a bit of a distance for me to come (well what i mean is i dont have a car so it'd prob take all day going by public transport haha)

    Jackie, you flatter me! :o

Depending when you North-of-Border OSers arrange it, I would not be averse to a quick trip to meet you all (and it would be even greater if MeanMarie - who is not mean at all, but a great friend) joins us! AND Mardatha, I would love to meet the legendary Mardatha in person!

I am trying to sort a SE London meet on 6th November so any weekend after that date would be great for me. The sooner I know, the sooner I can book my train ticket (and get it cheap!).I shall keep looking for more details!
Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).
  • Noooooooooooooooooooooooo you can't come, that means you'll still be ahead of me ;) :rotfl: I wish I could do the London one, but I am going to the Dublin meet the week before :( I will definitely come to London in the New Year, I haven't been for about 18 years! :o

Maaaaaan it ain't a competition, I reckon the more meets the better, to spread the OS word! I hope you have a great time in Dublin and look forward to meeting you when you come to London, please make sure to pm me well in advance so I can throw an OS party with the other Southerners, in your honour! x

  • Laura we could get the train together. I drive, but the train is so much easier.

Right then, someone suggest a date, please! Late November?
