Seems that the end of November would suit most people, how about Saturday 27th? The Edinburgh's Christmas website says it starts on the 25th, so the lights, market stalls etc should all be up by then :xmassmile

Right then, someone suggest a date, please! Late November?

27th suits me too, I will officially be in Christmas mode by then! It's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

I am going to have a look at train tickets and accommodation around that date - does anyone know a good hostel in Central Edinburgh? Unless Marie fancies sharing a B&B room with me (as long as you know that I snore!).Finally I'm an OAP and can travel free (in London at least!).0
