Constructive day! :j MrEH was heading into work earlier than normal, so his alarm woke me, and although I dozed a little after that I got up at 6.50am as I wasn't really going to sleep properly once he'd gone, IYKWIM. So, today I have:
Got all my Avon orders input and checked
Got my next two campaigns brochure flyers designed
Checked my dates for the campaign that will be going when we are on holiday
Updated my income/expenditure sheet
Updated my client invoice
Rung the company who say they have had a request from me for one of those ShowerSmart gizmos to ask them to look into where this "request" has come from as I certainly haven't made it - it won't work on our shower!
Made chicken tikka marinade from scratch
Put a pack of chicken thighs/drumsticks to marinade in for chicken tikka
Made a batch of lemon & coconut muffins
Made a big batch of bolognese sauce and potted it up ready for freezing
made the appointment to get my hair cut - £33 though -
Sent an invoice to an eBay buyer who hasn't paid yet
Re-listed three small items on eBay
Put out final few Avon books and collected a few stragglers.
Done several lots of "5 item declutters" and about to do another one before MrEH gets home
Checked the banking and moved a bit of money about.
Caught up on a few diaries on here.
Mostly small, no tiny, things, but all in all enough to feel like I've really achieved something today. This evening will be a "TV free" night as per our pledge at the start of the year, so I may well sit down and write a letter to a friend to whom one is well overdue.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

SO JEALOUS!!!
I've got a friend coming up for the weekend so unless I can talk him into a trip to P&P on Friday night, I've got another week to suffer before I get my 1st fix of the year

I think I must be having a reaction to all the productiveness on Tuesday as I'm having a proper CBA day today!
have got the washing sorted out, including folding and putting away, and the next lot is now in the machine ready to go, but other than that haven't achieved much this morning! The laptop seems to be playing up - badly prone to overheating and shutting down at the moment, so i did a disk cleanup on that last night and started it defragging, but it was taking so long that in the end I had to stop it going as it was time for bed! MrEH says he'll have another go tonight for me while I'm out so hopefully once done that will help. I've had it on this morning and done its Ad-Aware and anti-V scans too just to be on the safe side, and also emailed some vital stuff to myself for safekeeping as if it's going to go wrong I don't want to risk losing the notes of stuff to sort out for the holiday, for example!
P I'm proper excited now - can't wait! :j I'll cross your fingers for being able to sort out getting to your P&P session - have you got a full team yet?! All sounding a bit dramatic at Rye House too - hopefully we'll find out this evening a bit more about what "actually" happened rather than just all the rumours - our local rag might have something in it when it pops through the door later too, they do occasionally cover s'way.
Spends today will be the hairdressers (£33 - but budgeted for, sort of!) and the speedway tonight which will only be £15 - I'm intending to take food with me and also print off my own score sheet to avoid buying one. I'll be putting diesel in the car at some stage later too but that will be a CC spend and won't be billed until next month now. *note to self - go on to Petrolprices.com and check the cheapest fuel in Ipswich*.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

The whole RH thing it quite interesting!!
As for us - P&P not looking good, no team captain as he is stranded in Oz due to visa issues, no number 7 it's just all pant! Think we will just go out tomorrow instead of heading to the Baltic stadium!! Dinner and the cinema then a few drinks I think will be in order
Hope the racing is decent for you tonight

Awww no, sorry it's all going to pot up there P - I have to confess to having a thoroughly :j:j:D night last night - we won, there was some good racing, I'm loving being a Premier league fan again! (well it was NL last time I supported down there, but still....) Looking forward to tomorrow night now and the return at Rye House. I do hope the hassles you're having with your team get sorted quickly.
Bit of a spendy day today, but mostly planned, and I got some good bargains too....
Went to Boots to get the Clinique bits I wanted - got those, and the Bonus Time gift which is lovely! Spent on points there too so no cash changing hands. Popped into the Body Shop to see if there were any specials worth parting with the Groupon voucher for - there weren't but I did come out with a free sample of Hemp hand Protector that I have been wanting to try. Went into House Of Fraser's Molton Brown concession to get my Dad's birthday present (he loves their handwashes!) and sweet talked the SA into popping a couple of additional samples in the bag too - I'm afraid Dad will NOT be getting the benefit of those! Finally spotted some reduced bits in Primark - they have their scarves and gloves reduced - so I got two pairs of black wooly ones, a turquoise leather driving glove style pair and a jade green suede pair, for a total spend of £2.50!!
Will be looking out for Red Nose Day buckets tomorrow to drop a £ or two into - Sainsburys usually have them and I want to pop in there anyway.
MrEH's car gets MoT'd tomorrow morning so hoping she sails through problem free.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Right - couple of unplanned spends today - a pack of three pairs of wool-blend socks for wearing with my walking boots (£5 in Sainsbugs so not too bad) and an utterly bargainous pair of boots - lovely soft suede slouchy flat boots, in Tesco, for £4.50 would you believe!
They are absolutely lovely, and something I have sort of been looking for for a while! Also got three packs of the 21p face wipes in T's - one pack will go in the bag for the homeless refuge and the other two will go aside for use on camping trips etc. I do have another pack already in the cupboard so it was a slightly naughty one but the price was so good.
MrEH's car failed the MoT - in fact is still with the garage at the moment as they are going to do the repair on Monday. It has a broken front spring - almost certainly as a result of hitting a pothole - which they picked up straight away on the service and was an immediate MoT fail anyway. The MoT has been done, and the only other thing was a new bulb needed as one was just glowing in the sidelights - once the repair is done on Monday it will be able to have its certificate issued. The cost for service, MoT and repair will be £240.50 which I think is excellent value. I'm very happy about the fact that the car sailed through on all the other mechanical stuff, particularly emissions which is always a worry with an elderly diesel. There are a couple of small jobs that need doing on it still, and it will need brakes doing in due course as they are 70% worn, but we have been advised to let them go to the metal as it needs discs anyway so no problem with them scoring etc.
Off to speedway again tonight for Ipswich's first away meeting of the season, then it will be another fortnight or so before I see any more.🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

good bargains there EH, especially the walking socks
I need a few more pairs.
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0
