It's been a brilliant thread to be part of - I think it's made a lot of us face up to the fact that there is more to it than just "having a lot of stuff" too - I realised that I was not using the nice stuff I had because I felt I couldn't justify buying myself more nice stuff when that had gone, and we've had others who have faced the fact that they buy the stuff as a reaction to feeling down, or depressed, and then feel so guilty about it that they can't use it, and get more depressed. I must at some stage go through my cupboard to see how much stuff I have there still which has been there over a year now, since before we started with it - I bet it's not much as I know I've used up masses of stuff in the last year! (I've also gained a minor S&G addiction, but we won't talk about that!)

Done the shopping today - Sainsburys for basics mushrooms and basics white fish fillets, and Tesco for the other stuff we needed. Grocery spend for the month currently averages at a spend of £1.22 per day which, for the point in the month, is OK I think. Managed to hit Tesco at exactly the right time for veggies to be being reduced to sell, so got a pack of tomatoes for 15p, a growing Thyme plant for 18p, and a savoy cabbage for 11p. :j Now need to incorporate that stuff in a meal plan for the week:

    Tonight: Seafood Lasagne
    Monday: Stir Fry
    Tuesday: Fish Pie
    Wednesday: Pasta Bolognese.
    Thursday: Stew & Dumplings
Friday: HM Curry, rice, dhal & poppadums. :D

*Note to self - STICK TO THE MEALPLAN!!!!

I have £15.00 in my purse
I have £5.00 credit on my mobile. :j

    This week I will:
Try to do a TCB "It's your view" survey daily - earning 70p a time.
Stick to the "No TV on a Tuesday" resolution
    Stick to the mealplan (hmmmm!)
Pack up my Avon returns before the courier gets here on Tuesday!
Declutter at least 5 things per day into either their correct places, a bag for the charity shop, or a bag for rubbish/recycling.
    Have at least 3 NSD's

sounds like you've got the week mapped out :) so far all i've mapped is my meals for the next two days but at least that's a start.
I've recently realised that i've always hoarded toiletries, but the things i never seemed to use were the body lotions/creams/butters etc, but i have my suspicions of why.

Cheers Ladies! I feel that if I can set myself some small weekly aims in that way it will help me to focus on and remember the things I have aimed to do.

    With that in mind -

List of things to do Tuesday - to be added to later.
AVON - pack up returns parcel first thing (or, more constructively, Monday evening)
AVON - draw up delivery slips for next campaign ready for printing
AVON - design brochure flyer for next campaign ready for printing
AVON - collect last lot of books
AVON - when courier arrives sort out orders for delivery
AVON - deliver orders to customers.
    Update client invoice.
Washing from airer, fold and put away
    Washing from machine onto airer
Next load into machine ready to go on overnight
    Daily clicks
    TCB survey
    Declutter - 5 items
    Have a NSD
    Go to bed before 11pm.

    Hi EH,

For me every day without spending on toiletries is a challenge - how did I become like this? But I'm turning a corner. And filling a pot with every use up - finally found something that works as an incentive.

Love the meal plan. And the plan..plan.
:) Declutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Less things. Less stuff. More life.

Luckily the thing I'd like to buy every day is far too expensive for me to buy and therefore I don't.....wine!

Well done all, small achievements (i.e. a step at a time) are what it's all about as we know :D

Lists are the way forwards - I'm convinced of it! :D

I think the biggest differences I've found are learning that I AM worth using the good stuff regularly, that it's better to spend a little more on a product I really love, and thus will use regularly, (apart from "that" eye makeup remove, which is of course a complete steal!) and finally learning which are the products I really love, and find effective.

Cost is as good an incentive as any other I guessV? As you say, Baby steps get you there in the end!

Another NSD here today - yay me! Will update the signature in a moment.
Electricity bill arrived - could be worse, still have £4.62 credit on the account, albeit that is £36.00 less than at this time last year. Coincidentally though the amount I am looking to increase the DD is exactly £3 per month! :D COnsidering British Gas were trying to convince me I ought to DROP it by £4 per month, I rather think that once again I have proved that I know our power consumption better than they do! :A I knew it was going to be higher, and that is such a small price to pay for being so much more comfortable.

I have £15.00 in my purse
I have £4.74 credit on my mobile - 20p of the spend was a longish text to an Avon customer - however if she orders the thing she's talking about I will earn £1 commission on it so worth it.

Right, off for the night now - I will parcel up the Avon returns and then go to bed!
