if it wasn't for the basket, it would be back at the bottom of the freezer.

    hope you enjoyed your bath.
I think i'll be able to achieve a NSD today which brings me to 4 but i failed on the making tea when i get home thing, OH ended up going to asda on his way home and picking something up which took as long to cook as what i had planned duh!
I'm with you on the topping up the freezer lark, we've been saying for ages that we need to empty ours a bit but then we keep filling it back up. We do have breathing room in there since we tidied it up and have been using things up out of the 'use it up basket'

I think I need to meal plan again - I'm going to do a curry night tomorrow so that will take care of a pot of korma sauce and some naan breads - I think I might have some pilau rice in there somewhere too - wow, this is turning into as good as a takeaway!:D Just got to find some form of meat to stick in the curry and we'll be away. It will be truly budget too - I think the Naans were 36p, the rice 55p, and the sauce was about 40p or something like that. :T

Bath was lovely! S&G bubble bath, Avon footscrub and shower gel, Avon facemask (Shame it's a discontinued one I got on reps clearance as it's very nice!) - just a shame I had to get out and use the awful Royal Jelly body lotion. :(

Goodluck on the challeges EH - I had a nsd today yippee :)

Me too! :T For all 3 of us for that then!

Yep - it was, and I have now accepted! :D

Extra day of work today so that will be a little bit extra on this months invoice. Due to working three days on the bounce I haven't been able to get to the building society yet to pay in my cheque for last month so am aiming to do that tomorrow morning. If I go in early I won't be tempted to spend any money either. Second post to follow I think with a "To Do" list for tomorrow.

Got the confirmation from HMRC that they had received my form - aparently it can take a few weeks to get my new tax reference through to me - that should safely ensure that I don't have to do a tax return for 31st January!

Purse - £16.00 all present and correct :A
Mobile - £5.00 credit - did have a natter with a mate earlier on but she gets inclusive minutes on contract so she calls me rather than t'other way round.

Chatting with Pippi on her thread earlier has made me think about meal-planning again - I really MUST get back to it, as it will make a massive difference to me getting through the freezers. A job for the weekend with OH possibly, to do a couple of weeks worth of flexible and adjustable meal plans.

I think OH's throw treaty things in the trolley that up the spends in the hope that we won't make them come shopping with us anymore........

That's my conspiracy theory of the day anyway.

My OH is useless at food shopping & I have *almost* given up sending him. I was making Stew for dinner and had run out of potatoes so asked him to get some on the way home. What do I get? Baking Potatoes. Another night I asked him to pick up some veggies and I got tinned mushrooms.

    Aaaaaarrrrggghhhhh!!!!!

I think MrEH throws the treaty things in the basket in the hope that it means he'll get treaty things! :D Poor lad, as a strapping 6' rugby second-row he finds it tough to pull off the half starved look...!

Sorry but I *did* laugh at the tinned mushrooms thing - those, and tinned potatoes, barely count as any sort of vegetables in my book! MrEH is fine if given a clear, concise list - otherwise though things get a bit shaky. 2 x 4pt bottles of milk, the other week (discussed as a "best buy" due to the 2 for £2 offer in Tesco) became 2 x 2pt bottles in his mind - lord knows how but that was what we ended up with - thankfully when I returned them to Customer Services with the one-line explanation that "The other half did the shopping" the lady immediately nodded understandingly and said "You'll be wanting to change them then?!" :rotfl:

MM I've just noticed you're in Herts - I'm in the bit of Essex that's *nearly* Herts, on the A414!

I have MrEH interested in these now too I think - he was most disappointed to realise that buying his train ticket for work yesterday meant that it was NOT a NSD! :D

    Gotta love em :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    List update:

    To Do - Friday:

[STRIKE]Up, shower, dress. [/STRIKE]managed this one without incident! :rotfl:
[STRIKE]Washing from airer, fold & put away The more eagle eyed amongst you will have noticed that, once again, I have stalled on the folding and putting away bit..[/STRIKE] Now all done!
    [STRIKE]washing from machine > Airer[/STRIKE] Done!
[STRIKE]Next load of washing into machine and set to run overnight Another couple of hours and I will be able to set the machine up - the longest time delay option is 9 hours.[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Into town to pay cheque in[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Collect parcel from Boots - consists of one christmas present for next year, some xmas cards and some tags, all bargainous. :)[/STRIKE] Also tried to exchange some knickers (christmas gift!) in M&S = they are plain black and I ideally wanted to exchange for another colour. However, I have now tried three times, our local store's range is atrocious, so I shall give up and keep them!
[STRIKE]Update client invoice for this month with days worked.[/STRIKE] Done
[STRIKE]Update work accounts spreadsheet[/STRIKE] Done - note to self, this is a lot less labour intensive if you do it as you go along, dimwit! :o
[STRIKE]Work out mileages to be claimed back as expenses on accounts spreadsheet.[/STRIKE] Quite interesting, this - 36 miles per day at 40p per mile soon adds up, and should reduce my taxable pay substatially so I *must* keep track of this.
[STRIKE]Check tax is calculating correctly - ie, after expenses. [/STRIKE] It is now!
[STRIKE]Try for my fifth NSD of the month! :D[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Print off Avon stuff for next Campaign
Get Avon books ready to throw through doors tomorrow.[/STRIKE]
    and....
    ..of course....
"Clean kitchen to rival LT's in sparkliness!" :D:rotfl: Now started......

    Have also done (TA DA!)
    Washing up
Avon brochure flyers for next campaign designed and ready to print.
Avon delivery details flyers for next campaign ready to print.
Divided up a black pudding into slices and frozen.
    Checked banking.
Done survey via TCB which will hopefully be worth 70p
Cleared out my makeup drawer and thrown away anything ludicrously old/dodgy smelling/furry
Taken out recycling to the bins
Decluttered a carrier bag full of "stuff"
Wasted too much time browsing about on the boards... :o

I have already put my NSD into my signature in spite of the day only being half done - well, I HAVE to stick to it then, don't I! :A

I have transferred some money into my VSP account and updated signature, and will post the total for that on the thread in a moment. Surprising how it builds up!
