if you ever get to visit my kitchen EH you'll find that it doesn't take much to out shine it!

sounds like you've been busy have you actually had time for a cuppa and a breath?

There is ALWAYS time for a cuppa! :D

    Well done

I've not spent today (does a cc payment count with all the spare money from the bank?)

The stamp/postage will be sent back to you so that can't be counted either - you're only 'loaning' me the postage :)

Don't forget to PM/fb me your address (for the stamp) or send me your paypal account number :)

    Well done you

Like LT I've raked in the freezer and got a pile of food out for cooking over weekend

Oh, I did accidentally get rid of 1 doz egg for money - made £2 today :)

how would that be counted ? Not a nsd - a mmd (?) [made money day?]:rotfl:

    I'll stop wittering now

    Well done you
Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.
Total debt as of 28/4/19 £7867.38:eek:
    minus 112.06 = £7755.32:money:
    :money:Sleeves up folks.:money:

I've not spent today (does a cc payment count with all the spare money from the bank?) Definitely not - that's a bill, not a "spendy spend"

Don't forget to PM/fb me your address (for the stamp) or send me your paypal account number :)Told you as "payment"- I'm going to pick your brains over the pocket hanky sized garden - I'm going to need all the help I can get! :D

I'll stop wittering now witter all you like my dear - wittering, chuntering or indeed bimbling is always welcome on here! :rotfl:

    Well done you

The postage will be very little I'm sure - in the interests of MSE-ness I will be trusting the usual tendancies of Royal Mail to deliver second class mail to remote locations FAR faster than first class - holiday postie-cards from the Hebs always reach home far faster than the cottage key makes it from here to Glasgow - yet the cards are 2nd class and the key goes 1st! I promise faithfully that I will ask enough silly questions about postage stamp gardening that you will feel you have MORE than earnt the cost of the postage!

    Well done on the eggs!

Right, time for bed I think - nighty night all! :hello:

I think MrEH throws the treaty things in the basket in the hope that it means he'll get treaty things! :D Poor lad, as a strapping 6' rugby second-row he finds it tough to pull off the half starved look...!

Sorry but I *did* laugh at the tinned mushrooms thing - those, and tinned potatoes, barely count as any sort of vegetables in my book! MrEH is fine if given a clear, concise list - otherwise though things get a bit shaky. 2 x 4pt bottles of milk, the other week (discussed as a "best buy" due to the 2 for £2 offer in Tesco) became 2 x 2pt bottles in his mind - lord knows how but that was what we ended up with - thankfully when I returned them to Customer Services with the one-line explanation that "The other half did the shopping" the lady immediately nodded understandingly and said "You'll be wanting to change them then?!" :rotfl:

MM I've just noticed you're in Herts - I'm in the bit of Essex that's *nearly* Herts, on the A414!

Not sure I count ANY tinned veggies as veggies apart from sweetcorn! And I am sure men have a gene missing - the shopping one :rotfl: My OH's only come in to action in DIY Stores

I think I may be the other end of the A414 as I am close to the M1 :D

MM my OH isn't that much use in a diy store either, i think because i discovered B&Q before we met i'm still expected to know my way around and what to do with things.

MatyMoo - ahh, so you're fairly close to the spiritual home of Dougal, Ermintrude and Zebedee then!! :D

LT MrEH isn't too bad on the DIY front, but is as bad as me for starting jobs and then taking forever to get them finished.....took over a year to decorate the spare room! :o

Went over to the market this morning as planned but there were hardly any stalls out which was annoying. Thankfully one of the two food stalls had set up as normal so spent £6 on 2 x 10 bag packs of Hula Hoops, a packet of Ryvita, 4 tins of soup, two packs of Carrs crackers and a packet of cream crackers.

Fairly productive morning so am rewarding myself with a lazy afternoon. MrEH is off playing rugby so I have the flat to myself - I think in a bit I will go and do a home facial, wash my hair and stick a deep conditioner on it, then slob about on the sofa with a book for a while.

TA DA for this morning/early afternoon...
Ingredients into bread maker for bread for lunch
To post office to post a little packet of seeds off to Orkney (Pippi - I was right about the postage, only 51p and 41p of that was a stamp I had already! Bargain!)
    Went to the the market.
Came back, grabbed Avon books and went out with MrEH to stick them through letter boxes.
Few bits packed away into the hamper ready for our hols (inc some gorgeous looking choccy biccies picked up for £1 in the co-op)
Few other bits decluttered to charity shop or rubbish bags
    Dishwasher emptied
    Washing from machine onto airer.
    Batch of muffins made
    Batch of scones made

MrEH keeps a beady eye out for money discarded on the streets, and reports that there is LOTS being dropped so far this year. He found 25p just while we were out this morning. :D

    I am indeed :D

OH is excellent on the DIY front, can spur him in to action by saying I have charged MY drill, which frightens him to death! Unfortunately works away a lot so has limited time :( Very capable on the plumbing and electrical front but next to useless with a paintbrush!

I like your thinking! Neither OH nor I will touch anything electrical as we don't understand that at all, and I am informed that next time we have a small plumbing problem Dad and I will NOT be allowed to try fixing it, as last time this lead to a somewhat LESS small plumbing problem! :o

I can paint, and wallpaper, although I don't like doing it. If we do get around to doing the bathroom this year I am hoping that MiL is going to teach me tiling too - she's brilliant at it.

I've come across a few MSE'er from our sort of area of late - it might be worth getting our heads together to combine on an Approved Food order at some stage to save on postage while still getting the bargains. Would be a good excuse to have a meet-up, too.

I screamed so loud 1st time I went round it :o. Fine now, but prefer it when it's busy then it just looks like lots of little roundabouts whereas when it's empty you are SO obviously doing something VERY strange
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
