What a year it has been for you EH. I hope you have a great Christmas and here's to 2011 :xmassign:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Thanks Taxi - all positive vibes for Avon orders very welcome indeed as that is my only personal spending money at the moment!
As planned the flat is indeed toasty warm today as well which is wonderful!

So - how is the list looking......
[STRIKE]Get out early early EARLY to Sainsbury's for their cheapest soft cheese & some eggs. Ideally need icing and marzipan as well but if they are out of stock then tough, the cake goes without.[/STRIKE] Done - got everything I wanted in there and wished I'd gone straight there rather than the ever less-impressive Tescos last night TBH
[STRIKE]Home - washing from airer[/STRIKE], fold and put away Folding & putting away bit still to do
[STRIKE]washing from machine to airer[/STRIKE]
Cup of tea
[STRIKE]make cheesecake[/STRIKE] 'Tis in the oven baking as we speak.....
[STRIKE]Empty dishwasher[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]wash up carnage created in kitchen from cheesecake making.[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Cup of tea and internet time[/STRIKE]:D:D
[STRIKE]Pack presents ready to take to mums[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]wrap OH's final present.[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]wrap last presents I've just found for Mum & Dad[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Wrap yet another small bag of presents I've just found...!
Quick tidy of front room[/STRIKE]
Sort out clothes to take to Mums for christmas day & boxing day and chuck in bag.
At some stage fit in [STRIKE]deep conditioning hair[/STRIKE] and [STRIKE]epilating legs.[/STRIKE] Do not muddle the two up.
Getting there. Felt I needed a sit and a cuppa though. Just found some more presents to wrap as well so might make that the next job.
Edit: 2pm - getting there now. MrEH is on his way home too so we should be in a position to get sorted and get over to Mum's shortly. Can't believe that I found another bag of presents to wrap....although when I looked at them I can't work out how I'd not remembered them in the first place!

Another busy day EH.
We've been busy. Lots of present dropping and stuff. I failed to wrap everything but at least handed things to people in nice bags!
Mmm cheesecake sounds nice! OH is taking a nap - we've been running around so it's deserved and I can catch up on here. Can't wait to start thinking about challenges for next year.
And I agree with LT, certain things you have cut down on and not feel any consequences, heat sadly isn't one of them. Have you got one of those energy monitors? I got one from Maplin for about £20 but some energy companies are giving them away free. We immediately changed our kitchen light as a result. Got this one, not pretty, but the light it gives is much better than we had before and is cheaper to run:

I've got an energy meter and am fairly fanatical about using it too - although mine is one that you plug an appliance into - I ought to have put one of the full household ones on my christmas list really! My parents kitchen light is a bit like yours actually - that sort are certainly a lot cheaper to run aren't they!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
