So normal mort payment went out last night, which takes it down to 63,673.45 i received the massive sum of £1.88 from quidco so i've rounded it up and i now have £843.45 in the isa. So the mort is down to 62830 which i'm quite pleased about.

Love property - been watching homes under the hammer on iplayer just yesterday.
Your budget is brilliant - sounds like you can get a really lovely 'family home' for that.
I don't regret going for the biggest we could afford (still think it has saved us in the long run as we haven't had the expense/emotional strain of buying/selling)OPs so far £42,139

How awful about the baby next door, and awful for you living next to it.
We're in a similar position to you in that we're in a tiny house, however we have just made the next step and are hoping to moving into a house 2.5 times bigger than this one at some point in January. While I really hate living in such a small house and have cursed it so much over the years I keep reminding myself that it has served a purpose and meant our mortgage was managable enough for us to have a baby and still have a good quality of life while I was on maternity leave and our household therefore dropped in half and also it meant we could overpay and therefore keep more equity in the house, which has helped with the move.
Good luck to you.0 -
Thanks Zeddy that's good to know.Good luck with the house move.0
