Hi there softstuff - welcome aboard.
I would go & see your Doc just to get a blood test to see if it is meno or not.
I get sweats or did before taking a supplement & I didn't get a flush - so that does happen, but you sould go & see a GP & get a diagnosis as you should see about the tiredness.

Hi and welcome softstuff - I recognise you from another part of the forum! I also agree that you should go along to your dr just to see. Lots of info for you if it is!
Joyfull - glad that the flushes are easing for you. You have stuck them out for sooo long!
Choille - glad the chesty cough has gone - re working outside -the aches aren't good are they? Have you tried those heat patches? My sister thinks they work.
Big ehllo to all other menos.
I'm a fake meno. Why? Because I've had bleep bleep heavy periods now every month for last 3 months. gggrrr. It has been August, Dec, then feb, March, April. I'll see how they go but had to see consultant afew yers ago for very heavy periods when i got anaemic. I blame my daughter. I'm sure all that stuff about cycles working their way to coincide is true. She has been going through a period (ha ha) of heavy periods and we see each other a lot as she lives 5 mins away. hhhm but that wouldn't take into account the times I didn't have a period. ho hum I'm maybe going mad then.
ah softstuff - the anxiety is hellish. It just comes zipping in from nowhere to clobber you. I've upped the meditation to help.
Cool sleeps tonight peeps

Oh poppets I don't know if I've really got the right to comment LMP 12 years ago at age 43. I had two years period free and happy, but then..
I could look like someone had thrown a bucket of water over me, I could be beetroot red, chin hairs were sprouting, sleep WHAT SLEEP where am I, pardon?
HRT was a saviour for me, various types, but I could manage 12 hours without changing clothes. The problem was the spotting, was this because tne HRT wasn't right or because of an underlying problem. After a couple of D&Cs I decided HRT was getting in the way of knowing what was going on.
Ask questions, think and don't panic. You can and will sort this out it's totally different for everyone and your GP and maybe Menopause clinic can help.
Be good to yourself, take some time to be "off duty" and if you're worried about something don't let yourself be fobbed off.
Good luck all0 -
I was just a bit worried my doctor wouldn't take me seriously about it. I think I'll give it another period and then go. I read though that the blood tests can be misleading. Do you have to completely stop periods before they can test?
Your chin hair comments remind me I also need an eye test, or I won't be able to see the !!!!!!s either!
To be honest, menopause would be a bit of a blessing in disguise. Hubby still hasn't gotten around to the vasectomy, so it would save us that.Softstuff- Officially better than 0070 -
Hi WMF - I'll try & get some of those heat patches. Sorry you're having heavy periods - that's a pain.
The chin hairs - I feel the odd one or two - they are like bristles & I just have to tweezer 'em out as soon as my fingers find one!
So it don't matter if you need specs - boy can you feel them!
Thanks Armchair for your thoughts - glad you got things sorted out.
Softstuff - I think they can measure hormone levels by blood tests & sort of get an idea from that.
Happy weekend to all menos everywhere - be cool!0 -
Thanks for your post Armchair - it's great to hear how people have 'got through' ! That reminds me Bronnie - that article was really good. I ejoyed reading the various experiences.
Lovely sunny morning. Got up earlier to do my meditation although it was tempting to lie still and not look at the time. Good to have done it now. It helps me stay in the here and now.
Off out with dogs in a mo. I like it when the park is quiet and I have a peaceful walk. I do like speaking to people too though!! I just love quiet walk when I fancy them.
Off further north tomorrow for a couple of days to stay with my friend, near Inverness. Hope the sun shines. Will look at a forecast before I pack.
Enjoy your Sunday all.

Hi WMF - It's windy & showery but rather nice WMF. I'm going to Inverness on Thursday with elderly neighbours who are needing taken to the airport if you want a meet up.
