    Hi All,

Nice to hear from you all. Good to know that we are still here.
Have a good browse Bronnie - nice thing to do.
I had quite a good ebay list last week & a posting frenzy on Monday - which worked out well. Feel I've got into the swing of it & really enjoy looking out for stuff in charity shops as well as my own clutter.
I'm inundated with chicks at the mo - so that is very sweet.

I also seem to be getting the sweats back after a very long reprieve, but the weather doesn't help I suppose. I also ran out of Menopace & bought a cheaper alternative & maybe that doesn't do it for me - I've been taking the cheaper ones for about two weeks.
My knees and muscles are pretty sore but just having to bash on as best as I can manage but do seem pretty muffle headed too at the moment.
Glad to hear in a way that others are slow to get going. I just seem to need quite a while to come round!

    All the best all.
Away back out to check chicks & hold some panels for OH.

Hello all. I am in the midst of more change, this time a change back to how things were pre peri-meno time. Periods back to monthly, sleep fine, cotton wool brain has been replaced with (slightly more) thinking brain, no hotter than the sun body at night, skin no longer dry and itchy (still have the wrinkles though ha ha). Now, how long is this phase going to last? Even back on the iron tabs for heavy periods. Ah well, I am working on accepting things as they are in this moment. All part of meditation and it makes sense. Can't change it, can't keep things as they are now (so good to be sleeping reasonably well again) so I'm going to try to just 'be'.
On the look out for a natural night cream so if anyone has any thoughts I'd appreciate it. Still have day moisturisers to use up so am fine for them. Trying to watch the pennies as well and weighing up natural cream at this point v something cheap and cheerful.
    Look after yourselves folks.

    Hiya Ladies,

Nice to get the meno news, often think of you all...

Plodding on here. HRT has worked it's 'no flush' magic. Simply could NOT go back to that fiery hell. Feel for those of you suffering that one.

Sleep rubbish - take small doses of 'assistance' a lot of the time. Just cannot cope without about 5-6 hrs sleep minimum.

But... how nice to feel some warmth in the sun and have the beautiful green of nature enveloping us all. Little chicks sound therapeutic choille! brings out the soft heart feeling.

Have had the odd mad episode. One involved packing bags at 4.30am & taking off. Won't go into it, but just felt a lot of mental pressure & 'can't cope' type of stuff. Can laugh about it now.

Hope the day goes well for you all and if it doesn't, know that 'this too shall pass'.

    Morning all

Feeling a bit more 'human' today - off to do some yoga in a min which usually helps.
Bronnie - hope you had a good afternoon & hope you feel a bit better
Shykins - guess we have to accept things go in cycles
Choille - in a weird way it's good to have company with our symptoms - re your muscle aches I'll pm you if that's ok
wmf - aww poor you but love you cultivating an accepting attitude - I'm trying to do more meditation as I know how much it helps.
FWIW I have to use completely non-synthetic skincare so have used Liz Earle but more recently have tried hand-made by local aromatherapist (found them at a local health fair do might be worth a look!)
Joyfull - glad the HRT is working for you.

Take care all and have a good day

joyfull had to laugh about the 4.30am escape have had a couple of thoe moments myself lately. u feel such a fool after but at the time seemed perfectly reasonable thing to do

naapentass u are right about the cycles. just a MSE thought on the aromatherapy stuff, if u know whats in it it might be cheaper to buy the oils and mix them with the base stuff yourseld

joyfull glad the HRT is helping, am with u on the 5-6hrs sleep not enough, hopefull what u are taking will regulate that somewhat

wmf wow sounds like whatever is working, so glad a lot of the problems have gone, as u say u cant change it so we have to learn to live with it

choille sorry to hear flushes are back for u too :( . weirdly when i was in egypt which was really hot, not a flush to be seen. ugh. have u tried glucosmaine for the aches?

Joyful - sorry about the sleep stuff. It's not good & can wear you down quickly. I hit spells of it but seem to be good at the mo. Hope you are able to go with it - very difficult one.
wmf - night cream - I use a 'Meadowsweet' Aloe Vera night cream that I found in a box of stuff under the bed- trying to use everything up before buying owt else. I got it from a health food shop. It cost £2.60 - a while back! But would buy it again. It smells really clean & leaves my skin soft but not greasy.

I have mad episodes most days & feel like running off quite a few times a week, but never coincides with the three buses a week we have here!

Have made some space in my in-box nappentass. Would more than welcome some tips on muscle aches as I've been on gluscosomine for a few months & although probably be worse without it am in a lot of pain & don't seem to be getting any better - quite worrying me at the mo.
Shykins - wondered if it was the hotter weather but probably not - think it's the cheaper supplements that I've started taking. They are not too bad & not too often so managable but if they get more frequent I'll have to get back on the menopace & see if that shifts them.

Take care all & be good to yourselves.

Stormy day with heavy showers but when the sun comes out really bright - shows the muck up!

Morning ladies, lovely to hear from you all!

Joyfull LOL at the 4.30am escapades.......although I know it seems like the end of the world at the time. I have moments like that with my ex OH as we still work together. Just have to come home, light some candles and wash the frustration away in the shower!

choille...glad the ebaying is going well. Aww! to the chicks!

...was wondering about this and panicking slightly. Wouldn't say my warm glows are a real problem atm, but definitely something different is happening to me in the temperature control department!

I went out with friends the other night and the dress I was wearing was synthetic material and my hair was loose which made my neck very hot. I ended up ordering a jug of cold water with my drinks and glugging that. had to go and get a menu from the bar to fan myself with at one point!

Anyway am going away in July and know it's going to be VERY hot.....which I ususally love...but this internalised heat is a different matter, isn't it. I never ususally bother with air-con (and this is a basic hotel so haven't even checked if it's available!). I always take a hot water bottle, which I fill with cold water and place on my tummy, which does a great cooling job in bed in hot countries. There is also this very pretty fan in Accessorise which I might treat myself to! http://www.accessorize.com/en/restofworld/all-gifts/wooden-lattice-fan/invt/88824142/?bklist=icat,4,shop,beachshop,beachtravelaccessories

In an ideal world I'd like to do that but it's just too much hassle - but being able to discuss it with the person who actually makes it is reassuring so I think it's worth it in that way imho - maybe one day ;)

    take care all

Me too and me too :o ....although our buses run every5 minutes, lol.

My mood is also deeply affected by my DDs mental illness.
Terribly, terribly muddled all of the time, and still "lose" chunks of time, but think that is also stress related, so I've got a double-whammy.

Not sleeping at all well at the moment. Am having great difficulty getting to sleep, and then I get around 3 hours solid, if I'm lucky, and then broken sleep - and that's with a prescribed sleeping aid :(

I was having periods most months, albeit spread more than 4 weeks apart, but this month was a total no show.

I don't want to take HRT, but I'm not taking anything at all to help at the moment. I bought some calcium tablets (which a friend of mine told me her GP had recommended for clarity of thought - although I can't for the life of me see the connection ) and some vitamin E tablets for my skin but keep forgetting to take them.

My back complains several times a day, and my joints don't seem to want to cope for any length of time with anything load/weight bearing , as in leaning on one arm, or kneeling, or carrying heavy bags or straining a saucepan full of water and veggies. My joints have started to "lock-up" too IYKWIM, so wonder if I should try Glucosamine. How many of you have tried it?

My skin is so dry, and my hands look like they belong to an octogenarian fgs!

And clumsy? Don't even get me started on clumsy!
I'm also putting on a few pounds
.......jeez...what a crock of **** this menopause lark is! lol

On the plus side - no hot flushes for a while now though, so I shouldn't complain :rotfl:
