Morning All,
The storm is about to reach Kent and I'm wondering whether to attempt to drop off the Avon catalogues in the next hour or so or whether it's too early to send something clattering through letterboxes.
Do hope you are all bright eyed today & had enough sleep. I didn't & feel ghastly.
Flushes were terrible y'day. Spent all day flapping clothes about in the wind or trying to hang my head out of the passenger car window. BF commented (very warily) 'you seem a bit aggressive today'
Right, money saving..... I might go for morrisons vit E rather than Holland & B next time. :money:

Hi Joyful & all menos - Well hardly slept becuae of the storm. Still really gusty. I don't seem to have been going into heat melt down for a couple of days - possibly becuase it's freezing? But wonder if the supplement is having an impact?
One thing I must do is to check that I'm not doubling up on vits as I do take a multi & am also taking iron & vit C & the menopace stuff. I think I may have over laps so will look at that.
Morrissons often have 3 for 2 offer on their vits Joyful - That's when I get mine & buy big pots of the ones we both(OH) take such as the fish oil & glucosomine as that works out much cheaper also as we live so far away from the shops it's handier.
My back is killing me today. I hope the physio appointment comes soon.0 -
I hope everyone is fit and well, and you have all had a good day...the weather was awful here last night...really gusty and raining. Its been nice and sunny here today though.
Not been feeling too bad today actually...which is good.
Off to bed now...so hope you all have a peaceful night.:D0 -

Morning shykins and everyone,
Yes, I too have very predictable times for flushes. I also have (& this is common) a premonition before each flush. Before the heat I just 'know' one is coming.
Was awake for hours in the night, not helped by being headachey. I'm so grateful I can rest in the day and more or less chose my work times.
Choille, take care of that back, it's the only one you've got. I hope your physio helps. I've had a 1st physio appt for my neck & back probs, & went armed with questions about how I could help myself with, say, posture or strengthening exercises. Although the physio was very nice, she had a 'one size fits all' approach and my taking control of my own problem did not fit into her agenda. I realise it's up to me to really pay attention to my body and listen to it's own wisdom. Still, the 'treatment' is free and therefore MS :money:"Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on.”0 -
My sweats seem to have eased - fingers crossed, don't know why - it is really freezing, but I don't know if it's that or the supplement. I do still have them occasionally but not nearly as many at all.
I am aching though even though I am religiously taking fish oil & glucosomine. Haven't heard yet about the physio appointment & bythe sound of things that'll be in a few years! It sounds like they have one for the whole of a 60 mile radius here.
Sorry Joyful that yours sounded unable to guide you. Hope the headache has cleared.
Didn't get a lot of sleep because of the gales but I can let things slide a little.
Hope everyone's well.0 -
joyfull i get the premonition too, weird isnt it. hope u feel a bit better and get some rest today
choille ugh to the aches and pains, i waited years for my physio appointment which was no help, i now go to a chiropractor who does acupuncture aswell, yes i have to pay but it helps more than anything i have ever tried
god isnt this weather awful!!??When you know better you do better0 -
Morning all
Oh its so wet, windy and cold. Does not help the old joints. My knees and hands are the worst, always dropping things. Yesterday went shopping and had difficulty getting my change out of my purse, had to let the assistant help me. Felt like a 90yr old not a 50yr old women.
Then you get up in the morning and see all the hair on the pillow that fell out in the night. I used to have very thick hair but it is going at the back of my head, the same place my mums went and she has now lost most of hers. This is a worry0 -
Afternoon hotties.
Only woken up once last night with sweats:D but my bones/joints ache like made today, feel 40 years older than I am!
Has anyone tried acupuncture for night sweats/hot flushes?
If that is classed as giving medical advice DONT ANSWER IT, I dont want to get the thread closed.
Just wondered if anyone had and your personal experience with it?0 -

Hi Annie,
I've had it recently for tennis elbow and it wasn't especially helpful, wasn't unhelpful either. at the same time i didn't notice any difference in the flushes.
Probably is me that it didn't work on. I'm also useless at being hypnotised :mad:Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0
