Morning hot ones,
Poet you were asking about sources of cheap supplements. I use Simply Supplements -
http://www.simplysupplements.net/category/36/digestive-health/
They are cheap and reliable. I won't recommend any particular supplement as don't want to 'give advice'.
Had to look up hypcon...:o .doh! oh yes a thingy.
Rain is approaching. Does anyone else find that low pressure and damp increases aches and pains? My BF almost always gets a one sided headache in damp weather.
Shykins - I would have thought a flush is a price worth paying for a strong coffee.:D Since I 'gave up' caffeine I occasionally treat myself to a coffee. For about 2 hours I feel it coursing through my veins and I actually feel normal. Oh yes..
Seeing my Mum in the nursing home for the weekly visit today. I have to be endlessly cheerful and full of 'I'm just fine' to keep the visit jollying along.;)
Have a good day everyone. X"Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on.”0 -

definitely this time of year my aches etc are worse i can feel my back seizing up as we speak, ususually i sneak off to egypt for a top up but its not possible this year
hope the visit to your mum goes well, as i said at least we have our sense of humour (thank god)When you know better you do better0 -

Morning all,
The weather here is awful.......say no more about that. On a cheerful note....I haven't had a 'flush' this morning yet....not that I want one.;) Joyfull...hope all is well with your Mum. Shykins...as for the coffee...I could NEVER give that up!.....0 -
Just got a tracking receipt from Quidco for my supplements spent £20.45, and will get £5.62 cashback, so worth joinig if you arent already a member and you buy regularly from the site mentioned above.0

Morning All,
Poet - I'll look into Quidco, sounds too good to be true. Thanks for posting. :T
Feeling tired as not enough sleep. Neck/back pain troublesome & scary as it's degenerative. Worry how I'm going to earn a living... blah blah.
Flushes not too troublesome. They begin & I either put on the fan or dash outside & flap my clothes about but it's not rivers of sweat just beads - sorry, grungy details.
How are you all?
Super MS tip of the day - Add a little soda crystals into the clothes wash (2 tablespoons). It deodorises and really cleans grease from fabric. I've found I get a little paranoid about keeping really fresh with all the sweating.:money:"Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on.”0 -
have never got my head round quidco but sounds like it needs another look
joyfull thanks for the soda crystals tip my dh has greasy skin which marks the sheets etc so its worth a try for that as well
thnakfully i dont get rivers of sweat either, i just feel REALLY hot and feel faint if i dont sit down.
dogcat i could never give up coffee either but funny enough i am fine at home its just the costa/starbucks ones but as thats only an occasional treat its not too badWhen you know better you do better0 -
The cashback sites are really handy. DD and I have had some good wodges of cash back. You can also sometimes get a good amount (say £50 ish) when taking out car insurance, changing energy suppliers, booking a holiday, phone contracts etc. The golden rule however is don't buy the product on the strength of the cashback....make your decision first then check out the cashback sites as occasionally the cashback may not come through.
The other main site is "Topcashback", this one I think (please check yourself!!) is free, with quidco, the first £5 you earn is taken as a membership but check them out yourselves!
You just need to get in the habit of checking out the deal on the cashback sites first, everytime you make a purchase!!
I have been re-reading Jenni Murray's book this week. I do sympathise with the awful symptoms you ladies are experiencing and counting myself VERY fortunate, at the moment.
Coffee....a few years ago I used to drink far too many cups of instant, just out of habit. To break the habit, I stopped buying instant completely and I restrict myself to one really good cup (well, mug) of ground coffee a day now, in the morning (Sainsbury's Taste the Difference Colombian...yum!) or if I'm shopping I have a Costa coffee break ( I like their coffee the best and ours in a Waterstones, so a nice place to take a break, plus I use the loyalty card to get the occasional 'free' coffee!!). A little of what you fancy etc etc......obviously if caffeine aggravates symptoms then it's to be avoided, but on balance, we all need our little pleasures to ease us through the day!0 -
It took me a while to get into Quidco, but if you already shop online as I do, it is free money, because you would have bought the stuff anyway so you may as well go to site xyz via Quidco and get the cashback. I book a lot of my husbands business travel, trains, hotels etc and we accrue a lot of cashback that way, but all the high street shops are on there, Debs, BHS, M&S, Asda etc, and holiday companies, flight carriers, in fact almost every type of shop you need so no need to change your shopping habits either.
You just need to get into the habit of having Quidco open and click through there to the site you want. I got £180 back (paid into my bank account) in July, and now I have another £125 "earned". You can set the level at which it is automatically paid out.
It is definitely worth a look.
Anyway, back OT, I have been resting as it is half term and I do feel better, so off into town today to get my nails done and meet a friend for lunch. It is sunny here although it looks as if it could rain later. Hoping my supplements arrive today and that I can get started on the glucosomine as all my joints seem to be achey and creaky.0
