On thisismoney here, it states that the Landsbanki rate is increasing from 5.2% to 5.45% effective 15 November 2006.
EDIT: It also states the Landsbanki rate increase and the increases of others here.Please call me 'Kazza'.0 -

Just a wee caution for those putting large chunks of money (over the UK Deposit Protection Scheme) into one bank such as Landsbanki. On 4 April 2006, Moody's downgraded Landsbanki's BFSR (Bank Financial Strength Rating) to a C. (Not good). Having said that, Moody's further states that because of the importance of Icelandic Banks to the national economy of Iceland-- the Icelandic Government would probably support the bank, but, as always, not guaranteed.FREEDOM IS NOT FREE0
