I didn`t say it had made any promise martyn. The criteria are very clear but if it goes to only 5.25% then imo the interest rate will be beaten by other banks/building societies
The initial differential is what attracted a lot of people and many of us are hanging onto the hope that the differential is maintained0 -
Is there a landline or 0800 telephone number?Dagobert0

Hi
My money's on 5.4; it's enough to keep face and keep them ahead of the opposition, I reckon.0 -

No 0800 number its 0845 6056050 or the geographical 0191 2558377 (thats Newcastle area I believe)"The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts."

It seems to me that there are 3 issues here: If; by how much; when?martyn4764 wrote:Hi

Hi Everyone,
As a non-driver and non-passport holder (I've never felt the need to go abroad in over 30 years) is there any possibility that I can open a Landsbanki account?
I've lived at the same address all my life and have a good credit record.
Thanks in advance ...0 -

Shouldn't be a problem, the passport and driver's licence are optional.0 -

Yes. I'm the same and opened an account without any problems - they didn't even ask for any ID.Stompa0 -
Wow, that's fast. Apparently rates have been increased to 5.45% (with effect from 16 November).Stompa0
