I just got an email from them which shows my email address to everyone else that got the email.

I'm REALLY unhappy about this and have asked them to remove my details from their mailing list, and I thought I'd warn you guys that the same could have happened to you.

Yep same thing happened to me although its fine in my case and I use an email just for shopping.

Thanks for warning people though and its very silly that they have done that.

  • They've issued an apology for this. Apparently was a new girl that didn't realise. Very quick to respond.

    AUGUST GROCERY CHALLENGE   £115.93/ £250

  • I also got one and have come on here to see if anyone else had, I phoned them to ask for my details to be removed. I spoke to the girl who sent the emails out and she was nearly in tears at what she had done, she appologised to me again and is double checking everything she does with the manager in future, she said she is still learning and knows that she should have checked, but thought she had done it right. I had my details removed and will re-order using a different email address in future.

beware the muffin mix - it's vile - I have tried it a few times, with the same horrid results, hard on the outside, and rubbery inside, even the birds won't eat them!
  • I can see they are having a 100% FREE FOOD promotion!

BUT I don't know what the order code is to get these free items and are they TOTALLY FREE or buy one get one free??

I have some items in my basket now but don't know what to do!!!

By the way they have some fantastic offers on TOYS under the Christmas section if you don't fancy the out of date food .. Postage is high as usual for these kind of sites but they do have some really good offers on there...

I just want some of the free items but wonder if its actually BOGOF .... And where on earth is the CODE please anyone?

( SOME PEOPLE ENTERED THE WRONG CODE BECAUSE OF MISSING OFF 100% IN THE CODE SOMEWHERE )
  • And what does FOC mean please?

    I'm kaffuzzled!
  • Order placed anyway and I used the code BBFLXC100% .. Not sure if that is the correct code but they said they will honour it at checkout and change any incorrect codes..

Thing I don't understand is it says 100% free but why not say BOGOF which seems to be the offer on some of the items

They have extended the 'free food' promotion till 10th December now

( To shift it all I should imagine )

Anyway - Am happy with my toy keyboard for £2.50 , toy rock guitar for £2.80 , 2 x Christmas lanterns for 40p , got the 6 beans £1 , 2 x the gourmet jelly beans as stocking fillers for £1.18 total , the 6 Sarsons vinegars for £1 if 3 free and best of all my Haywards traditional pickled onions 2 for £1.30 - I love me pickled onions @ Christmas! :T

( All in date apart from the jelly beans!! )
