I can quite understand this de-identifying but what I dont understand is why the original date on the bag has a label stuck over it the BBFL label says BBE Jul 10 underneath it printed on the bag it says BBE Apr 10, when purchasing the products I knew it was likely to be OOD so why do they need to do this? I have cooked up some of the scones and they were fine.
They must have only just started doing this as I bought some a couple of months ago and they didn't have anything stuck on the bags.0 -

So I've e-mailed BB instead as I am not sure the e-mail is genuine. Has anyone else had an e-mail from TNT asking the same thing?
My first order & TNT made a total hash of it. About a third of my order is missing from 2 weeks ago (so maybe that's why they are e-mailing people! Did anyone get any "free" boxes of stuff with their order? It might be mine.
). I was happy with the things I did get. Although BB4L have been sympathetic and helpful to an extent, it's been left up to me to chase TNT for it. I really hoped that after 2 weeks, BB4L would just resend my missing items, & they could then sort it out with TNT instead of me having to do all the messing around. TNT have been completely useless & fail to respond to e-mails. In the end BB4L have just refunded the cost of the items & the exact postage cost of those items - not a penny more. I'd be quite hesitant about using them again after this.

Meanmum, I can understand you feeling mad if it was left to you to chase up the missing part of your order. I received a reply from BB and they said they had a headache with trying to deal with the mess up of orders that TNT created. I'm glad I e-mailed BB as they responded very quickly to my e-mail about TNT contacting me. It's a shame you had a bad experience as usually BB are very quick in dealing with e-mails and this recent deal sent things a bit haywire.0

I have to report Im afraid that my order was totally messed up too and i got no reply so far from them .
Items missing and some not sent at all some damaged which makes it hardly worth the hassle .
Im not sure that its worth me even going down the route of contacting TNT too much on the phone and losing more , and its not possible to check items before they leave , its frustrating that in an attempt to save money and maybe some time it ends up costing both time and money , customers should not have to chase the courier for mistakes .
Be wary and dont order too much the first time is my advice and also bear in mind that some of these items may never have been sold at the retail prices listed on the site Im sorry to be so negative but the "retail" prices may have been recommended by someone but some of the Jam for instance has never been the price they list in any of my supermarkets when you check it per kg sizewize sometimes the savings on some items can be not much better than bigger bogofs or deals etc
So the savings are not as much as they say sometimes you wont realise that until you see it the next day in your local supermarket sometimes in a larger tub on offer and in obviously still in date for not really that much more check sizes dont trust their savings details
dont get carried away its easy to get carried away by some of their "projected savings" and over order , bear in mind that some things like the Nescafe coffee are roughly the same price a Tesco in date stuff , its pushing it to say that Nescafe original is usually £6.99 for 200g for instance it can usually be found on offer for cheaper than their price and especially if you shoparound for the "foreign" version which then becomes half the price of the Big brands "bargain"
Batchelors Peas , why would they list peas at a saving of 12p only when everyone is selling them at less than retail anyway this week on the 3 for 2 price even at Tesco they were slightly cheaper and I can get them at offer prices local cheaper elsewhere
Robertsons Golden Spread actually on offer for last 3 weeks at my Tesco for a penny less than Big Brands weight for weight .
Not forgetting Tesco are all in date undamaged and they certainly are not the cheapest out there theres much more cheap as or cheaper so dont take it for granted , yes things like Lyod Grossman rice is cheap but dont let things like that cloud your judgement CHECK ALL PRICES especially as you may have to make some phone calls chasing up your order before and after and dont forget delivery can be a lot less elsewhere .
I am not impressed at all but will book it down to experience and give them a miss ,:( you look deeper and after the initial wow at a few prices its not in my opinion a place where you could use regular due to the delivery problems and hassle its not all much less there than supermarket and the stuff that is would last you a year0 -
It would be far better if they used decent boxes of both size and quality.
Then they would only have to send one or two boxes the same as AF and there will be less chance of things going astray.
It looks like they are trying to save money on their packing costs but they are going to lose customers because of it.0 -
My orders have been well packed and I got what I ordered except where they'd run out, in which case they emailed me to let me know, refunded and gave me a freebie to compensate.
Personally I prefer the small boxes. Apart from being easier to handle and store, if anything did break (and any glass in mine has been very securely packed) it wouldn't cause so much damage.

the beans are back in stock, but now they are 6 for a £1.... not 10
I think they must have made a bit of a boob and realised they lost a bit of money:rotfl:
by the time you add on the postage, not worth the money... I think the little jam portions have shot up in price too...Work to live= not live to work0 -
I noticed the beans are back and like you say 6 for £1 not 10. Mind you, I have enough to last a few months yet.0
