Well, I'm 51, and I'm at that stage of my life where I prefer to "tell it how it is" .......mind you......I've been like this since I was 16 :rotfl:

Well - you've got a head start on me then in that respect...I wouldnt have said boo to a goose at that age:rotfl:. I think, in hindsight, that my parents brought me up "wrapped up in a cotton wool" to a large extent - and for the best of motives in many respects......They knew just how bad the world/other people could be and tried to shield me from it...I can see that now in hindsight and so can they...

It was one HECK of a shock to come out into "the big wide world" in some ways...

I think it took me until only the last few years to realise that some people just seem to enjoy being gratuitously nasty/stupid/etc (delete as applicable)......:o. It might/will take me quite a lot longer before I can summon up enough goodwill to feel sorry for them for being that way.....

    ?

I'm a great believer in "rising above" most things, the exception being when someone attacks someone close to me and then I have been known to bite. Your way is probably healthier. :o

My pet hate in life is people who lie or hide behind lies to protect their true selves, and people with superiority complexes.

In tough times like these I would love to see everyone pull together, be honest about the situation they are in and help eachother through without judgement. :)

....And I fully expect to be munching the haribos well into my sixties Mardartha. :D

That's not a bad thing HariboJunkie but to be able to "rise above" is not part of my make up. I think probably yourself and Ceridwen have a gentler nature than me :)

Gentler nature.....maybe I have....and then maybe sometimes I'm just too cynical to fall for an obvious set-up .....:rotfl:. The jury is still out on that - I'll tell you when they come back with a verdict on that....:D.
