    Ceridwen, what's all this internet aggro and boycot Paypal, I'm curious, what's going on outside our cosy little corner of the web?

    I think it might have something to do with wikileaks..Paypal have withdrawn the facility for people to donate to Wikileaks via paypal. It could be something else though?

    I know the dishwasher is cheaper re energy and water but the washing tab costs a lot as I like the singing dancing all-in-ones. I`ll do the sums later today and I think I`ll be coming to the conclusion that heating a kettle is cheapest for a bowl of dishes.

    I tried that for the last couple of weeks, Kittie, but found that the one kettle becomes three or more if you don't like the washing up hanging around the kitchen and the overall moisture level in the house, the kitchen especially, definitely went up judging by the condensation on the windows. All that steam stays inside the DW. Some MSEers swear by cutting your dishwasher tablet in half but I haven't tried it yet. Mine have a little ball attached and I'd probably sever a finger trying to chop it evenly. I only ever buy them when they are on special offer.

    Help....is it wrong to ask a 6 year old to tidy up some of his own mess. I couldn't walk across the floor in this room today, and the other sitting room was nearly as bad. I feel like I'm on to him all the time, but I'm his mum, not his maid. I do everything else (well he is only small), but I have told him he must put stuff away before he gets other stuff out to play with. I think I feel like I nag him more because there is only me (his dad died last year).

    Our house is not a show house by any means, but I feel like if I don't get him looking after his own things now, I'll never manage it when he's older. He did pick up all of his [STRIKE]plastic junk[/STRIKE] treasures today by the way. Any opinions? Oh and he didn't like the cheese scones that I made for him to try. I did though :D
    Well done Gailey for making the costume. I can do fancy sewing, but I doubt I could create anything like that.

    My DS (left home now) lived like a .......... I don't actually know what!

    I have 2 DDs who are 4 - one is really tidy, the other not.

    Recently the tidy one said to me "Right, I am going to tidy this hole"............ she paused... "living room up"

    :eek::eek::eek::eek:

    I thought she was calling our living room a hole :o but thankfully she was just choosing her words and meant the 'whole' room :D

    and recently she went up and tidied her whole bedroom - did a better job than me :o
